Guys, my phone nowadays start to kill apps automatically. Its like the RAM couldn't handle the app and terus kill. Anyone experience this? I kill off all other apps already (the clear RAM function), but still the app will crash.

The apps involved mostly are internet hungry apps la like Instagram, Youtube, Marvel Champions (almost always kills itself if I am using mobile data in a not so good reception area).

It got worse after the latest update I think.

Makes me miss my old Mi3 wehh. smooth as hell compared to the Note3.

yellowish issue when turn on camera flash still exist?
Mine got yellowish too..but not terrible ..

Speed&Smoothness:
As both of the phone are very very identical, I can barely tell the difference in smoothness, but Mate 8 is noticeably faster in every task, I think its due to the Kirin 950 chip compared to the MTK chip. However animation flows and smoothness are about the same and I can't tell the difference.

Smoothness is no longer a huge difference in this generation phone. I've used Note 5, Mate 8, and now Redmi Note 3, their smoothness are about the same, I think you're talking about speed as my Mate 8 is fastest between all these 3 phones.

Wow, thats insane to get 8 hours... not sure why I dont get that much of SOT. do you set anything else? I tried once to battery optimize and make "Restiction" under the Battery saving option, I control some of the build in apps, like Mi Store, Mi Voice, Mi Pass, Mi Wallet....etc etc.... but not sure why end up my whatsapp dont get real time push notification. No matter how I set it back, it just wont works. End up i reset my phone to factory default and wipe everything off and set up everything fresh... then only push notification happen. Since then I do not dare to touch any of those "optimization" Mi has to offer... All i did is set Whatsapp under battery saving option to "No restriction", Auto start allowed, and recent menu locked, the rest is default.

Received notification for v7.5.3.0.LHOMIDE. But a quick search online showed some problems with the update including hi battery drain. Anybody updated to this?

This really work... The other ver not so good but still one buttery smooth... Now My 2gb unit surf so smooth...so no regret buying this instead of 3gb...save a few hundred... Thanks man...

anyone facing proximity sensor problem? when u are in a call, the oh one screen suppose to turn on when u take the phone away from the ear... but mine is not turning on... did the proximity test on CIT TEST, not showing response as well... reboot my phone and it's fixed... I think this happened to my fon few times already. not sure if it's the new update or its the hardware problem.

Hi,  ystrdy after new update my battery drain around 10% in 7 hours by android system keep awake.  Any idea how to solve this problem?  Thanks

Guys.  After 2 days of clean install on cm13. I need to say I'm going back to stock MIUI. Not that there is bug in cm13. In fact everything is smooth and nice. But the only one and problem is that the battery life. Now my phone is 37% and screen on time is about 3 hours and less. Which mean I don't get 6 hours at best. In MIUI. I get minimum 6hr and can be 8 hours top. So ya, I'm back to stock.

Just want to ask something here b4 buying it, does the Malaysia version support 4G+ and VOLTE like the China version? 

The speed is awesome

i wont recommend redmi especially to non-techies..

im a long tme samsung user..  miui gives me headaches like no apptray.. permissions, delayed viber and whatsapp notification, apps closing automatically,
gps not working.

but with google and lowyat all problem is solved. but if you use it out of the box.. its a nightmare.

I got a very specific requirement: dual SIM with 4G and 3G. Cannot be 4G and 2G because Singapore phasing out 2G next year. Any idea if this model support?
