Well, if you're interning, the correct term to use is allowance, instead of salary. And I hear that the common rate for intern's allowance is RM 500 and below. I myself is currently receiving RM 400, but I'm in the engineering field.
Is it a must to include expected allowance? I find it rather rude to actually demand for allowance from companies, since they've been nice enough to provide you with an internship spot. However, I was told that once you're accepted, you have the right to inquire about the amount of allowance you will be receiving.
speaking of which...practically, the company does reserve the right to determine your salary aka allowance, and they do reserve the right not to pay u, because when u are doing internship, u are utilizing their company resources for your own training. and it's during these time that they do actually monitor your work performance and attitude, so just bear with it and treat it as a stepping stone for your future career. some of the companies to allow themselves to be put as a reference in your job resume tooIs it a must to include expected allowance?
