I DIY by using thumb pin (the type with plastic handle). Zig zag 4 pin on one side, 3 on another side, then link and tie up each pin using fishing line. Been using this for more than 4 years on an IKEA ANEBODA chest drawer.

one of 10 years old ikea drawer also having such sagging drawer....
here's my simple fix using a 9mm plywood it's not an even cut because i'm cut it using a circular saw without any guide, just free hand cut. each plywood strip is approximately one and half inch thick. i'm securing it horizontal so i can use screw to tighten it from the side of the drawer. If doing it vertically, you would need to cut more strip and need to secure it using pocket hole method. then tighten it using a screw from the side ( with countersink hole ). now my drawer is much more sturdy than ever... these are the tool used; i use two driver cos i'm lazy to change the screw and the countersink bit.. . |
