Hi all gurus, Finally reached this end page. Just wish to confirm on the turbo part. In the beginning I was looking forward for a HRV. The SA told me just come for the new civic launching next week and you will be surprised. I was curious and went home check on this model and there comes the love at first sight.
Btw isn't the turbo not meant to operate at all times? In this model, the turbo seems to run all times especially when you cruise for long journey at 130kmph New and confused here.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 15 2016, 07:00 PM) Turbo will kick in above 1700rpm. If cruising at 1800-2000rpm the turbo boost will be low. But since you're driving at 2500rpm (130km/h) the turbo boost is higher. No worries since you're driving fast, the air will cool your engine and turbo Thanks for reply. Normal air is not sufficient to cool down the turbo, just enough to dissipate the heat between the heat coil. Just wondering why they not putting higher efficient intercooler That means there is no way to turn off turbo. Wear and tear will still be a big issue on this model. Tried the car twice. Once on TCP and once on 1.8. Overall the turbo version is the best choice. Due to lighter weight of the 1.8, you can feel the car itself is very shaky especially during acceleration. Rear passengers will feel the most.(sorry but no defense to anyone here). What's concerning me is the turbo wear and tear. Still wondering to book the TCP version but it's a big commitment
