Had a chance to drive a new city for few days and experimented with the fuel consumption, I would say Honda has a pretty accurate FC reading. Unlike my car which underestimates the FC by -1 to -1.5L/100km.

Full highway of City (penang to Ipoh) is close to 20km/L, 110km/h, cruise controlled 50%. If the new Civic managed to return a figure of 18.4km/L at 120km/h and some city driving, I would say it is very impressive.

Interesting sharing. I did spend some time in the China Civic Forum and noticed this "broken front axle" issue has gone somewhat viral over there. In this video, the "boss" did point out one part of the front axle connecting point is a bit thin and uses iron instead of aluminium alloy which is used in the back axle, maybe it was cost down by China Dong Feng. Anyway, the "boss" said this is not a big issue.
