Just got a message from my super SA - I have been assigned a chassis number already, so should be soon!

Anyway, Llumar Diamond 6, RM3600, with front windscreen upgraded to AVS with Yuma Carpet - ok deal ka?

*
RM3600 seems a bit on the expensive side of llumar. i checked llumar price around 2.2-2.6k for civic. tint spec not exactly the same but it is safety tint + heat tint

As for speakers. Weak point in the car. Audio is painfully missing mids and lows
*
Rear speaker behind passenger head just remind me of proton wira rear speaker location.. Why can't they put it on the inside of rear door.

Anyway the door is damn heavy!!! when u want to close it

Guys maybe a stupid question from me.

I've been trying to find out
There's a digital bar 0-40 on our odometer. Anyone know what it represents ?
*
QUOTE(reloadedprimus @ Jun 26 2016, 10:47 PM)

I think it's a safety risk control.. To ensure the door is locked first in case some crooks intend to hijack the car right after u remote start since u r expected to be a distant away wink.gif
*
yes, if not the crook may enter the car, steal any valuable items in the car, or hiding at the back seat waiting for the right moment.
But although the engine has started, the crook cannot drive the car without the key in the car. Once driver enter the car, he/she has to push the start button again, or the car won't move...cool hah..

i guess coating is more benficial on long term car paint protection solution.
u know after 6-7 years the lacquer paint "dies" thus the car paint will loose the shiny looks.

FYI

WD...A will start tmr afternoon or latest Thurs morning.
I will be going to choose a running no for my wife's Civic. Probably at JPJ Wangsa Maju.
Ive never done this myself. Always used runners. Any advice?
*
If you have time, no need to use runner. Runner will charge RM100.
go to JPJ, get the nombor giliran, wait for your turn, choose the desired number, pay cash RM210
It is advisable to have few selection of numbers in case the main desired no. is taken.
Bring a copy of your wife IC & car booking receipt, just in case the JPJ officer wanna see a proof.
Give the details to your SA and register the car within 3 months.
That's it!!

Yes that's what im told. Questions:

1) Do we need to fill in any forms before hand?
2) Once we purchase the number what happens next?
*
oo yes need to fill a form, can get it at the angka giliran counter.
once you purchased the number, just give the details to SA for car registration purposes.
I bought a running number few years back and the process is very fast.

Owner can also buy the running number thru JPJ online portal - MySikap. This is even super easier but the car must be under your name, cannot buy for other people even spouse & relatives. Anyway you have to go to JPJ office to register you username & password.

RON97 Shell V-Power (Second choice)
RON97 BHPetrol Infiniti (Third choice)

I am choosing to use Euro 4m fuel - coz the engine is Euro4 smile.gif

You never know it is retarding the ignition timing if you run something like 95.

*

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Jun 29 2016, 07:24 PM)
Please la. Even BMW uses RON95 with no issue.
*
RON95 should be ok, can save money a bit to pay toll.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Civic is Euro 4M compliance because the catalytic converter are designed for that spec emission.. Euro 4M has nothing to do with car performance.
Anyway by using RON97 4M, you are helping to reduce the sulfur pollutants into the enviro for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
And also will help to prolong the car's catalytic converter life.

3m or ecotint raybarrier 4 better?
*
Honda's 3M isn't from 3M USA. It is a house brand tint manufactured from Korea and with that specs and current hot climate it wont give you optimum heat rejection.
Tint with TSER >50 considered ok

42% TSER for the front... Should be less than 70% IRR 😂 And windscreen is the most important.
*
QUOTE(usopkun @ Jun 29 2016, 11:05 PM)
Irr for front is actually 80%. Last time my SA showed the actual specs to me.
*
49% of heat from sun are coming from the IRR so the higher IRR % the better the heat rejection.
But high IRR % (normally 98-99%) may give a problem to smartag. I've tried a windscreen tint with 93% IRR and smartag still ok. I also used to IRR <70% for windscreen and heat rejection is intolerable for me.

Anyone know how long to expiry if we buy the running number via mysikap? Is it 1 month or 3 months?
*
It will expire in 3 months by default but you can extend it through another procedure at jpj office. You can get a runner to do this with a fee of course.
