Guys, I'm undecided between the 1.8 and the 1.5 tc. Need some advise here. In the long run, as in maybe 7 years time, how would a tc car fare? Will it run like normal or will it be much worse to maintain than the 1.8? Any major overhaul needed? Sorry I'm not a car enthusiast
Thanks guys. |

QUOTE(nm7 @ Jun 29 2016, 07:32 PM) Turbo's usually have their own problems as it is a wear and tear part too. This engine is new, so no one knows yet for now. Thanks. Another question for folks test driven both 1.8 and 1.5tc, is 1.8 significantly under powered? I liked the 1.5tcp of course, The turbochargers can leak oil, but as usual we have Tong Turbo in our good graces. Even some parts like i dun know if this l15b7 uses some plasticky blow off valve which needs to changed after some time and so on and so forth. So, there is extra stuff to replace when time comes. But, the good news is that hopefully the saving you get from the economical drive will more than make up for those repairs and replacements. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 3 2016, 07:29 AM) Guys, mind sharing with us the mileage you're getting with the car? My second fill up is a follows: From the number, it doesn't look good bro. U slam the pedal often ah? Lol I thought it's rated to hit about the 17km/l? 80% City, 20% Highway. Current mileage: 337KM On-Board Computer Fuel Mileage: 12.6 km/l Real Fuel Mileage: 11.97 km/l (Fill Up, Half Tank, Fill Up) Fuel Brand Used: Shell V-Power 97 Ok la, not bad at all. My previous FD2 can only reach that kind of mileage in 100% highway driving |

hi guys.. just booked 1.5 tc white
curious about the tint though, is the ray barrier 4 good enough? decent heat rejection and some form of security film? i'm not looking to spend alot, so 1.5k seems reasonable to me. Also, about coating.. for an average joe like me, is it really necessary? thanks guys |

QUOTE(bcw @ Jul 4 2016, 08:20 PM) For coating, if you're staying nearby Damansara area, u can consider to join us for group buy also. It costs RM 2,120 net, for a very good package, with 4 years warranty. Research for Regal Valet, coat. Normal price, RM 3,700. They focus very much on premium cars. thanks bro.. but i'm at penang... susah.. They have tinting as well, you may discuss with the boss later on, if you're keen. |

Guys, the accord has huge discounts.. I booked the civic tc White... But with the accord discount, the lowest variant is now same priced with the new civic. Which will be a better choice? What do u guys think?
Btw, I came from owning a jazz hybrid and city. Driving mostly in town. Occasional highway during festive seasons (balik kampung). Seldom drive alone, normally with wife and my two year old. So there you go, hoping for some good advice. Thx! This post has been edited by blurkia: Jul 10 2016, 04:41 PM |

QUOTE(claxxion @ Jul 10 2016, 09:08 PM) I just booked a white 1.8S and my SA promised the car will be delivered in August. I thought of doing this, but I think the leather installation is done after market. So, it better be a good job, or else I think just stay with fabric la hahaMy SA offered to upgrade the seats to full leather for RM2.8k. Is the price reasonable? She said the material and quality will be similar to the turbo models. Or is it cheaper or better for me to do it outside (eg. Carbi Deco, Newton Leather). Anybody has experience with them? |
