I see a lot of discussion on 3M and Llumar tint, but not Ecotint Ray Barrier. It comes with 10 yrs warranty and pretty good spec on paper. Any comment or experience with this brand?

apparently many people said the sound proof has been improved.
I wonder how is the sound proof when raining. wink.gif

I remember reading it in this post, indeed was pretty good.
With the fast back design, wondering if it will accumulate water droplet and obstruct rear view. Owners, care to share your experience?

Spec given by Ecotint shop is slightly different. Also 10 yrs warranty vs Honda 5. Not sure if they r exactly the same type. For the solar only price was about 2k n security one 2.8k. For front screen, can use the one with VLT 63% . Although not compliant but can claim if jpj saman. So any real experience with the product would be a big help for me to go with the shop offer or not.

These options from EcoTint shop has much better spec than the Honda variants... but for 2.8k, should consider going for those US based films like Vkool, 3M, Raytech, Llumar and Huber Optik instead?
*
Will check those out too. But what are the advantages of these US based films?

I scared Raytech find me hahaha, anyway I just got better offer since last time they offer me 2.5k for Raytech RX and Ultra 70, I got the final offer just now but cash 2k included GST. So no need PM anymore.
*
Thx for sharing... i was quoted 4k and then final price 3.5k after discount.

I m noob too, but just wanna give a word of caution. The 2k you get is half the listed price. Beside, i hv checked few branded one huper, llumar, ecotint with quite similar spec. It ranges fr 2.5k to 2.8k. Anyone else can share what they pay for their security tint?

My Llumar Diamond 6 is RM2,800.

I was quoted the same price with ppf for headlight n car mat thrown into the deal. The film is green, wonder how it will look on a white car. Personally i would prefer grey or black. How does it turn out on your silver car? Some pics plz... thx!

Do u guys think which is the best guide choosing the tint? IRR or TSER. Most of the local tint shop only talk about IRR, instead of TSER, which i think should be more comprehensive value in heat rejection.
*
Higher IRR = less heat you feel. TSER is calculated based on VLT, IRR n something else cannot remember. A darker tint, lower vlt will hv higher TSER compared to one with higher vlt - even IRR is the same. A car's cabin parked under hot sun will heat up slower with film of high TSER. Just my interpretation of thse values.
