Hi all, just noticed the area around the rear tyre is made off carpet material like inside the boot. Coz the front is the normal plastic material. Is it the same with the rest of the civic owners here?

For some reason I cant seem to get the remote start to work. System already set to ON but still doesn't work. Walk away auto unlock works fine.

Also where are the controls to adjust the treble and bass for the audio?

Get to drive the car a bit more since it's the weekend.

- love the premium sounding "ding" and voice alerts.  Very unlike any other Jap car I have driven
- the 1.5T is really a gem to drive at higher speeds.  Very European feel with the meaty feel of the engine
- car handles pretty well when pushed through corners.  Soaks up bumps very well too
- got strangers come up more than once to ask if it was a turbo, how is the car, etc
- car gets a bit of stares as it's still new on the road
- only avg 8.7 km/l on first tank. But pure city drive and lot's of idle with a/c running while fiddling with the car at home. Anticipate FC should improve on 2nd tank.

All in all I am impressed with what Honda has done with this model.

It's well planted and you don't really feel the speed much in comparison to other Jap C segment cars.  My opinion is that the 1.5T really shines at higher speed cruising.  During  city stop and go traffic the it's a bit more drony and loud. Car effortlessly glides on high speed cruising..

But im also wondering how accurate we can be with the RPM at 110kmph since this is CVT transmission? You need to be travelling at a perfectly constant speed of 110kmph on a flat road to know for sure. If you press the pedal slightly harder, the RPM goes up.

I doubt we can get an accurate reading.

My guess is that as long as Thailand hasn't had it, we won't have it. That's for sure. But that's all about to change, as Thailand is about to debut the Accord Hybrid, complete with Sensing. Even so, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see HM bring Sensing to Malaysia much later. And then even so, HM might only include it in the Accord.

Think about it, the current Accord 2.4 in Malaysia has LaneWatch. They could have included it in the Civic X but nope they didn't. So presumably it's going to be the same with Sensing by the time it comes to our shores.

Still depends on road gradient. If ure on a slight gradient, auto cruise will 'tekan' to maintain speed thus raising the RPM.

I was travelling north south highway during the afternoon under very hot sun, the screen is very visible no glaring issue unlike mobile phones.

Safety features r one of the reason i choose civic instead of Altis. A lot of ppl dun even know the importance of VSC.

If you have one wheel stuck in the sand, you need to off VSC to get out. If you on VSC the wheel will get deeper.

There is a reason why ISOFIX fasteners are at the back. Child seats are supposed to be placed at the rear of the vehicle whenever possible. Only place front-facing child seats at the front if you can't place it at the rear seats. It's too dangerous even with the airbags off - glass, metal, impact etc.
