Hi Guys, i encountered a problem with my walk away lock last nite at the petrol station.

Was standing near to the fuel door with the remote in my pocket while filling up my car, halfway thru it some how the walkaway lock trigger (i guess its bcoz it could not detect the remote is within the 2m radius) and the alarm triggered as well..had to press the unlock button to stop the alarm..and it happened again after a few seconds..the only door not closed is the fuel door ...and my wife is sitting in the car..

Anyone experienced this before?? any idea whats the prob here??  

Anyway i find that the sound of the alarm is very 'gentle'..no 1 at the petrol station seems to notice that the alarm had been triggered   

So today I was watching a video of a Chinese car show reviewing the Civic in China. The one they were reviewing is apparently the full spec model, complete with chrome door handles, LED headlamps and the 17inch sport rims, just like ours.

I also noticed that their Civic is so richly equipped that it also has the full Sensing suite, LaneWatch, rear air-cond vents, movable rear headrests (albeit only on the sides, none on the middle), 60/40 foldable rear seats, and -- get this -- auto start-stop system, with a button to disable it above the ECON button. Now that's something even the fully decked Civic Touring in the US doesn't have.

And the price for all these goodies packed in one Civic? RM107k after converted. I know it's not fair to compare the price like this, but sometimes I wonder, will we ever get such kits for our cars in the future?

Yes,  if majority does not mind paying above rm150k for a civic. Honda has done the research and determined if needed to pay,  no one wants those stuff.

Better be careful with dash cams and reverse cams especially with cars controlled by ECU's.

I installed a 3rd reverse cam on my new BMW and it messed up the on board electronics. Had to get it removed. I've now installed the original BMW reverse cam. Cost me RM4,715.

Might not be an issue with the Civic but best get it checked carefully before installation.

any cheap and good ones to recommend? what's the normal price to spend for this?

Why would airbags deploy? Unless the front impact was considerable. Don't seem so in the pic.
