jchong, it aint ez to do the acoustics treatment. Carpeting is 1 way to go. Try to look for Davis. He might be able to help u on this.

Musical Image and a few others cld do the calibration.

The problem with ppl not opting projector is that ppl perception of its 'blurry' image and a darkened room not to mention its short bulb life span compared to LCD TV or plasma. One man's meat is another man's poison.

seriously, I wld invest in a proper draper than DIY a screen unless I m a pro in this field.

Go for Draper USA and not Stewart. It sld be about your budget. I did ask abt it b4.

Any more news about these new babies?  Sure its not SVGA, coz I saw a new range of SVGA projectors being "marketed" as Home Theatre projectors.... quiet and bright with reasonable contrast.  Price is less than RM4k... b4 discount!

Cant remember it. But, the model no start with VPL. Sld be HT proj, right?

still undecided to go for AX-100 or Optoma HD70. Sony VPL-AW15 aint up to my expectation. At that price, I would rather opt for Optoma.

I am a bit worried abt Panny issues. Or am I worrying too much?

since u also selling Optoma, Why not get hd70.  If I'm travel to US now, sure I'll pickup the Hd70... USD $949 damm cheap now.

Btw.  anyone bought any electronic stuff from amazon b4?

Bro, I find the AX-100 PQ is better but the problem that you guys mentioned made me to think twice. I cant understand why the big difference in price. If I do buy HD70, I will ask my bro-in-law to bring it from US. Just wondering will it be taxed. Or put into a lappy bag brows.gif
