Meanwhile in Tropicana City Mall.
Went there last Friday.
Theme is called Mustafa Street or something I forgot.
It looks pretty sad.

Yup it's their intention to make it like warong tepi jalan.
They sell some waffles, those cheap biscuits in tin that we used to eat when we were kids.

Better don't do anything at all. Such a shameful display. Zero effort given.

No la, I wouldn't say zero effort.
They probably have to work on a tight budget.
The mall isn't pulling in many shoppers lately and quite a number of tenants have moved out.

i think the new management of tropicana city mall wants to refresh the tenant list.. but i still think this mall (although struggling) is still better than the nearby Glo Mall which have less than 10 tenants from what i heard.. hmm.gif

Maybe refresh tenant list is just to make it sound better because the fact is once the tenant have moved out the space is left vacant for months.
Some new store that's now in renovation I see is Daiso which will greatly help this mall.
Another is a kid's gym taking over Toys'r us and previous Gymboree space. It's HUGE space!!
2 new foot outlets and one that sells mixed items at ground floor with minimal reno done.

Rest of the tenants who moved out are still empty.

I've never been inside Glo mall. I heard only some makan and minum place there.
At night I saw many cars parked along the road.
Probably they patron the drinking place.

yes.. Daiso would definitely help to attract more crowd to Tropicana City Mall

i agree the fact that many of the lots still remain empty after the previous tenants have moved out.. and surprised that toys r us has closed down its outlet at here.. doh.gif

besides, there are still no new tenant replacing Kitschen/Nichii although i hope Padini/Brands Outlet/H&M would open at here considering the lot is HUGE icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah.
I'd like to see Tropicana go back to it's former glory like 6 or 7 years ago.
It's a nice mall at a strategic location.
