Hi guys. I need some advice. I want to buy a bluray player but I'm not sure which brand should I get. Reasonable price and can play dvd for all region. Thank you in advance

Hi, any particular Sony model? I too looking for Blu-ray player that plays multi region DVDs cause got collections of region 1 DVDs.

well i guess it's quite tricky what "support" means right now to Speedy because if we buy more now (especially during sales), it means the faster they'll close down when most stocks cleared...  but i get what you meant   

had gone to Subang Parade in Subang Jaya earlier today and looks like Speedy outlet there is closing down too...  

yup, the mid-valley outlet has already closed down... 

oh, that's a shame.... i think they know it's immenent, physical is dying. but i still prefer physical over streaming and all that.

but hey, who needs speedy video when we can buy from online retailers which is way cheaper. price was a factor too for physicals selling in m'sia (unless the selective discounted titles offered by speedy recently). if we compare side-by-side the price of a normal movie ticket; in m'sia about RM15-18... and so does in the States USD15-16 ish, so it is close. so why the-f when a blu-ray in the US is selling between USD15-25, in m'sia price difference is like sky high at around RM79.00-100.00++???

oh ok, that make sense... i will probably sell only some and repurchase new version; which have been re-released or remastered from the ones i have now...

haha... i have not gone through and sort which ones to let go yet. but i do have a few brand new / sealed ones which i want to let go though...

well, clock is ticking.... this probably marks the end of Speedy Video altogether sooner that we thought... i know most outlets already closed down but this particular outlet in 1Utama shopping centre; oddly called ‘Movie Magic’ (Speedy’s company name i think) which is one of the bigger store is closing down!
