How did u prepare for the verbal part? Did u work on the high frequency words?

If u have yet to work on the high frequency ones, go for Barron 333. I heard it's pretty sufficient, if u would love to further edify yourself work on the magoosh one.

How did u perform for your quant part? Was it hard?

Lol.. I didnt prepare this test at all. I registered mid of Oct then straight away go test.
I thought I can get average score without prepare juz like Toefl. biggrin.gif .. Apparently Im wrong.
I only downloaded magoosh vocab flashcard and read those words everyday. Apparently is not sufficient.
Only managed to score 156 for quant part. And I think I missed some questions as well. Actually is not that hard, but I have been working about 6 years+ since graduate and didnt touch my math for quite some time. So took me longer to solve some of the questions as some really tricky. Although some of questions you do not need to solve anything

Oh really? Because I heard the magoosh vocab was more than sufficient. Was it the comprehension part or the vocab that was hard?

I have not been working on maths too. I'm trying to get back the basics. Oh well, gonna sit for it on december, hopefully I'm prepared by then

For the verbal parts I'm not sure how your English level. But for me I found that pretty tough. Maybe my English is not good though. Some words I don't even seen it before. Most of the time I just guess the answer. Also I'm not get used to read long article in such short time.

Yes. Those maths are not hard if you are from engineering background like me. Is just our mathematic at secondary school.

Basically you have to practice every type of math question if your math not good. They will ask each type of the questions in exam. I just found that there are some good GRE prep video in YouTube for your preparation.
I didn't do my proper study for GRE hence my score are pretty bad.
If money is not a problem for you, just retake the test again after 21 days of your last test. The only problem is the test is too pricy for me.

Oh okey, thanks. I was wondering do they cover area such as cone sphere? Or they would only test u on simple ones, such as square, rectangle and cylinder.

Don't really wanna rmb the formulas

This I am not sure. So far I only encountered rectangle, triangle, circle and trapezium.
I didnt see any question that involve volume like cylinder or sphere.

I took computer test. Paper test is definitely no for me as my handwriting is pretty bad.
Recently they had upgraded their registration system, maybe system down, try again.
Btw you cant use your toefl account to register GRE.
