I think it already state by the seller..it does't support Yes4g..so you have to find another device to use on it..

Seller didn't state for Yes 4G so have no idea. I already did a through checking b4 ask smile.gif

check whether softbank and global one support which band
japan lte different than the normal global lte
also check on apps like network cell info whether you are getting good reading on the tower

Checked, it should be limited by hardware.
I exchanged my softbank unit with my dad's docomo unit, which Docomo website states support all band, but seems like the phone is not unlocked by Docomo for overseas use, so no hope also :|
It looks like something is preventing the software from connecting the tower. Tower signal is strong.
Band 38 40 is not blocked in OS. It should be blocked by the internal modem.
Afterwards, asked the seller, seller say need to get AU unit in order for Yes to work. (wow you don't expect me to buy another unit!)
Nevertheless, now I switched to celcom's yoodo instead. No incompatible lte bands and 4g only frustrations. Merdeka promotion 62GB rm38. Cheap cheap. No tethering restrictions and no throttling.
