QUOTE(AhRon @ Oct 30 2016, 11:13 AM) That's not true and I hope you won't be spreading this around with the "no antennae therefore weak reception" talk. I have 3 units of different model MiFi from TP-Link, and most of the time their reception is stronger than my iPhone 6. So let's go back to my question, will this work for Yes LTE? Buy the v2 one. That one supports Yes LTE network, but not all other major telco

They have two versions. One with FDD-LTE, and one with TDD-LTE. Yes is TDD-LTE, so choose the v2

QUOTE(AhRon @ Oct 30 2016, 11:49 AM) ok, confirmed mine is V2 (don't know how to upload photo here). Went to Yes outlet and ask for an LTE SIM to try, it doesn't connect. Maybe need to set APN? And I am now confused with statements saying VoLTE is a must for data... VoLTE = Voice over LTE About the data, I can't confirm this. On the website also don't have the APN

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Sep 6 2017, 04:34 PM) hi guys, I activated my free 10GB yes4G that comes with samsung phone. activated it, and it works on samsung phone. when I try it on sony phone, it doesn't want to connect the Yes4G network. Is the sim card tied to certain IMEI only ? I've set to LTE only, and LTE(preferred), also same problem. in the APN section, it does list down yesnet Which model? Yes LTE uses TDD-LTE which only flagships support the most TDD-LTEE bands

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Sep 6 2017, 04:54 PM) using sony z5 dual. according to specs, it supports : LTE (FDD): Bands 12, 17, 20, 5, 8, 4, 3, 2, 1, 7 LTE (TDD): Bands 39, 40, 41, 38 Okay that's wierd. Yes uses 4G TDD-LTE band 38(2600MHz) and your phone does support the band. Try contacting their support regarding this

Wait a minute. Your phone has 2 different region model. Maybe you're using E6633 instead of E6683. E6683 does support band 38, but E6633 doesn't support any TDD-LTE bands http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z5_dual-7537.phpThis post has been edited by kroul2: Sep 6 2017, 05:05 PM

This is my first time using yes. Is this speed normal? Good download speed with bad upload speed? Or is the tower having congestion? Using an iPhone 8+ This post has been edited by kroul2: Aug 6 2020, 03:53 PM

QUOTE(tympg @ Aug 11 2020, 09:15 AM) Forgot to mention that I’m on iOS 14. Also, there’s no VoLTE toggle, which is different from other telco’s mobile setting page
