QUOTE(pwf @ Jul 4 2016, 01:02 PM) Where did you get? I went to yes store at 1Utama, they tell me not selling yet althought they have the sim display on the shop. I was told not for sale. Got it in KLSentralThe sales people attitude is very poor, don't bother, and not interested in doing business. That shows why company not earning. funny part the story goes like this I was asking a guy at counter n he said no prepaid sim since only have postpaid with phone, so i asked need to wait for how long to get it? he said not sure suddenly a guy came from a small room from the side ask me what phone am i using, i replied Mate 8. He told me maybe cant use I said can one since it is all band phone. He than asked me bring the phone or not? i said got ... he than say lets try first so he pulled out a sim ... i said nano sim to him. Put inside my phone, he asked me to make the yes sim 4g .. so after a few sec registered to YES 4G ... rejoice ... then the guy asked me want to buy sim? i said if prepaid yes lah ... so he went back to the side room and pull out 2 stack of sim card packs. All start with 018 688 xxxx. I chose one and paid RM10. Asked him where to topup he said at portal. so than i happily using it lah ... data wise maybe still best effort ... call i tried but failed maybe because i am in my office building so i think they will pull face since according to the guy a lot of ppl asked buy most of time phone not supported ![]() This post has been edited by cruzzmz: Jul 4 2016, 01:53 PM |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Jul 5 2016, 06:44 AM) It means voice n sms not ready for mate 8... U can check from here http://yes.my/faq/devices#sim-compatibility QUOTE(yao_mou_gao_cho @ Jul 5 2016, 10:20 AM) you can refer to Lowyat review below. He also using Huawei Mate 8. So far only data. Voice and sms will have to wait until Q3 or Q4. Thanks for the infohttp://www.lowyat.net/2016/108703/yes-4g-l...he-new-network/ If this is the case ... I rather stick to webe since it can do voice call n SMS anywhere anytime, launch with a handful of supported volte a bit lame not to mention no coverage area Hahaha This post has been edited by cruzzmz: Jul 5 2016, 12:46 PM |

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Jul 5 2016, 01:11 PM) Oh well I went to Yes Kiosk Main Place USJ to buy the prepaid SIM to test, picked a number (018-688 xxxx), waited for 15 minutes for the guy to call his supervisor to guide him on prepaid SIM registration, at the end he told me "Sorry system not ready yet". broI guess they need to introduce a basic prepaid SIM card registration training to all their employees, it is too unprofessional, either they rushed for the launch or they didn't have time to pass the info to all the kiosk/dealer to assist potential customers. the guy in KLSentral registered my sim in like 2 min and then i got the email from yes on my username and the temp password but ... the selfcare portal is down i dont think they actually do a proper training to all their front liners ... and a phone can use data only is like half cook ... |

QUOTE(aidlover @ Jul 5 2016, 04:03 PM) to use VoLTE, your phone manufacturer requires enabling something in their phone to work VoLTE is about setting on phone .. like if u put it in Note5 u can see VoLTE but sad to say when call ... nothing happen and full of crap marketing data no issue as long as your phone support band 38 and 40 |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Jul 6 2016, 11:35 AM) on LTE they only have TDD 2600 ... if ur device can support it might be only data for now since non listed devices wont do VoLTE so no calls or sms available QUOTE(ckyow1 @ Jul 7 2016, 11:02 AM) Want to ask something, LTE served by their TDD 2600 on supported phones only, VoLTE also like that... the other broadband thingy u have to buy their dying WiMax dongle that will cost u another 400 bucks May I know what does it mean by 4G LTE + 4G Broadband mean in their website <http://yes.my/4g-lte-postpaid> For example if I want to take the RM48 plan, it is stated 6GB LTE + 4GB Broadband So does it mean I need to sign up for 2 sim card and 2 different service ? talk about seamless services ... puiiii |

Good that u can use it .. mine failed on note 5 near my house sms works fine too seems promising the service.. but coverage really an issue here [attachmentid=7042905] Yes coverage will be an issue since they don't have 3g fallback |

QUOTE(coolstore @ Jul 8 2016, 07:02 PM) thus it is big question how many ppl dare put their main line on it. For sure I won't use it as main line .. they need to put indoor repeaters it is no easy to get good indoor 2300mhz+2600mhz signal compared to lower frequency band like 3g 2100mhz. unless willing setting up a 2600mhz repeater package as play safe measure. QUOTE(fat16 @ Jul 9 2016, 09:04 AM) Not sure maybe at that time .. but higher ping will effect gamers This post has been edited by cruzzmz: Jul 9 2016, 10:46 AM |
