800MHz (Band 20), almost everywhere...
No it's not 900MHz band (B8). It's 800Mhz band (B20).
So far in Malaysia, only Yes 4G unofficially uses this 800MHz band 20.

I am so surprise that they adopted B20.

Previously when I try Yes sim on my Xperia Z3 & E3, it can't detect any network at all.

But now, both my z3 & e3 able to connect for data! (although no VoLTE, which means no call & sms)

Do anyone know how long they have been using B20? (out of curiousity)

As Yes closed the wimax network. How will we be able to utilise the existing devices that utilises them using yes id? (like Yes huddle/zoom)
As far as I could remember, I dont see any sim card tray for these devices...

Those Yes Wimax devices can't be used anymore. You could keep it as a souvenir.
Yes 4G Wimax are forced to upgrade/use LTE devices such as Huddle XS or 4G LTE smartphone models that supports LTE Band 38 (2600MHz), 40 (2300MHz) and 20 (800MHz). And, a Yes 4G LTE SIM card will be provided to use the service.

Aww what a bad timing.

I just got my zoom 4g & xs huddle from garage sales and now it cant be used any more...

The new batches of xs huddles will have sim slot right, I saw on their website that they still provides xs huddle (but with 4g lte)

Is it in white colour? If it's white colour, then it is 4G LTE supported.
If it's black, then it's the old Wimax model.

Unfortunately it was black in colour...

too bad. Guess I have to keep it as decoration from now on..

The transition from Wimax to LTE doesn't really improves the LTE network as they advertised.

It seems to me the network quality worsened...

Time to consider for a jump..

Recently the speed at my house area dropped significantly, especially weekdays 7pm~12am.

Previously I have no issue of getting 720p streaming on Youtube; but now I can't even do 144p streaming without buffering...

Now Yes = UMobile at my area...
