Better just buy the 20GB data for 40 days SIM/Account/Line validity...only RM15 including 6% "tipu" tax ...

RM10 is a waste if want to reload credit...
*
Your image shows 30 days though.

And if reload RM15 rather than buy that data, doesn't that mean the RM15 can be used for call/SMS?

What's happen to Yes's data calculation?

20GB(RM20) finished for 2 days usage, then Shopee free data 20GB also finished for 2 days.

I didn't use it for download anything, really annoying... confused.gif

Better check your phone's own records, perhaps got some game updating (or malware on your phone). Do you use hotspot?

Yes, this sim card use in modem. But, I have disabled Windows update, should be nothing large usage already.
*
Check your windows network usage history, even without windows update perhaps steam running in background and update some AAA game? Computers are very bandwidth intensive if you don't pay attention because everything just assumes internet is unlimited.

I got over RM200 credit and no where to use it (not primary number). Any other ways to use up said credit other than calling 1-300 numbers, TM/Unifi, other utility companies?
*
Can't you just use it to purchase the plan?

No or Poor Indoor 5G coverage in KV
Shopping Mall or Underground parking don't expect have Yes 4G coverage as well
*
Generally agree.

QUOTE(DanialTan1990 @ Feb 3 2023, 08:32 PM)
Lol. That sound very bad
*
Well.... depends. It is my main line, and every month maybe 2 times I have to switch to my backup hotlink line. That's not because didn't drop coverage, but because underground parking you hardly need to have internet (you don't hang out there), and if I'm in a mall I'm not really using my data very much. YMMV based on your own habits of course. The annoying thing becomes QR payment inside malls/shops for me, but mostly I use samsung pay which doesn't need internet so...

I plan to use as my main line. I quite alot travelling to Pulau Indah/ Pulau Carrey/ TPG despite live in usj. Afraid coverage bad around that area  hmm.gif

Currently using XOX Black but seems the plan quite expensive from what i get. Bought Yodoo sim as testing, so far okay, price okay, customer service using ws so not bad as fast reply. Now query about Yes. price okay with 5g & no fup. seems not bad on paper
*
No way to get around it, must get a 'test' sim card and put some value in, then test it kao kao in your locations. I've experienced before one house in the row very good, the other house further down the row no line.... so 'area based' description won't be 100% sure also.

I get it, and you're right. I'd do that to save some money but it would deactivate my dataplan also, not practical.
*
Why would this deactivate your dataplan? You can still purchase the 30 day plan once every 60 days (buy it and also redeem shopee data, then redeem shopee data again the day before the plan expires).

The line expired, dataplan active, but internet won't jalan.
Same like other telco, example the prepaid topup expired, but the 30day dataplan still active, internet can jalan?
*
But when will the line expire?

Day 1 - reload RM5 get 12 day
Day 12 - reload RM5 get 12 day
Day 23 - reload RM5 get 12 day

So your line should not expire?

Any ideas how to clear Yes credit balance if you have accumulated a substantial amount? It's not like other telco where you can spend it in App Store or buy vouchers
*
I use it to make calls (esp bank etc) as my primary line has no free calls (365 day Hotlink Pantas).

Not sure if you can sell to other users?

Currently I'm using maxis. Been using maxis since 2014. I wanna know, how's the experience of using Yes ? How's the coverage? Any ex maxis user can share? Thanks.
*
I am hotlink line switched to YES line with hotlink line as backup (365 day validity).

Coverage in my areas (Subang Jaya, Sungai Long, PJ) is good, not worse than hotlink at all.

I tend to have to fallback on my hotlink line when in the mall (esp for ewallet payment, or loading menu on those QR code). Not all mall, for example if you know Sunway Pyramid Go Noodle, there no problem (edge of mall) but Kim Gary which is just a few shops down, YES can be quite slow unless you sit at the outer edge of the shop.

General recommendation - don't rely on it when inside big building. Or upstairs in high rise apartments (both in klang valley and JB I had this issue, but it affect both YES and Hotlink similarly la).

*
If you add new GB before the old one expire it adds together. So far my app shows 247.9 GB used... and 452.1 GB balance (total 700 GB I accumulate over 5 months). I also use from two shopee accounts (me and wife).

After using Yes 5G, feedbacks:

Pros

1. Huge data quota is good. can watch video without concern.
2. Get extra data when spend with Shopee

Cons

1. Coverage not good in Penang is okay. However, always no line inside malls. Hence, you cant use e wallet.
2. Outside of Mall. certain area got lines, certain area no line.

Conclusion.

Porting out from Yes. Because no line in mall especially basement supermarket is troublesom because totally cannot use e wallet.
*
How I handle is to use YES and main line, and have secondary sim card from big telco for those condition. E.g. I use the hotlink pantas 365 day validity with a few gig data for the 1 year period. Good enough for ewallet etc where YES fails, and also use that number for all the OTP etc which last time YES have problem with.

Hi guys, i have quick questions before planning to change to yes,

1. How’s the coverage in KL for 4G and 5G? Is it covered for most of the area in KL?
2. Is it memang uncapped for package RM58/Monthly?
3. How’s the coverage in underground such as (ampang park to masjid jamek) and also inside mall

Thank you
*
Suggest just buy a sim card and test yourself. My own opinion:-

1. Coverage for whole KL no issue. Mostly 5G, if 4G mostly cannot use properly.
2. No comment, but I don't see why not. If you're heavy shopee shopper, just use their databack to get up to 100GB a month, no need unlimited plan that way.
3. Underground and inside mall sucks in general. YMMV but for me not reliable at all, I use my backup Hotlink Pantas 365-day plan in those cases.

hi guys i have been using for maxis for more than 10 years. thinking of changing to YES.

anyone can share your experience in klang valley?
*
No point you ask - many have already posted, scroll back the history here. If you got a question about a specific building then maybe useful. Otherwise is just vibes, I can stand in one shop and get very fast 5g, then I go to the other shop down the road and struggle to load up grab (this isn't just about YES, its just how mobile telco work).

you can just buy the internet plan (not use account reload credit), to get validity from internet plan tongue.gif
---> reminder again, account credit buy plan no add validity whistling.gif
*
Okay found this.... I have tried before but doesn't seem to add validity. Any further advise? As I understand, it is to buy the plan (+ add-on) but use credit to buy instead of paying from CC or whatever.

Yes, any hotlink user can switch to pantas currently.
