anyone use 5G YES as main internet line at home for family?

my 5g YES can get more 500Mbps if i use alone

while my TIME 1Gbps only can receive less 200Mbps in peak usage

just port out yes to hotlink. The internet line was unbearable. I often get intermittent data on and off. Very annoying. Though hotlink is a more expensive plan but i think reasonable. Imagine if u r in a shopping mall and couldnt get line to payoff via online, this is serious problem and defeat a purpose of having a stable internet line.

my 2 cents. However, until yes improve their data stability, i would port back in future. Unlimited 5g for just RM30 is a steal.

yup. i combo with celcom. worth it rm25 yes and balance of the budget is use for celcom xpax as spare

How about when you go to the big shopping malls or underground/basement? Usually YTL doesn’t make much improvement on indoor coverage.

Autopay the monthly fee will reduced to rm25 which is nice.

But can disable autopay later one or not?

Weakest coverage for 4G yes, but 5G it does not really has disadvantage since all telcos use the same infra for 5G.

I have no issues with coverage so far for the places I usually visited in jaybee. 5G coverage in jaybee is considered excellent comparing to kl and Selangor.

Only newer areas like Medini, it may not have 5G or even 4G coverage for indoor.

Anyways, I've already just reloaded rm30(about rm28 after voucher & coins discount). Then I realized I probably did this too early, should've waited till last day of expiry before doing this, but I needed to test how fast the entire reloading top up process at Shopee takes, instead of scrambling at last day. It took roughly bout a min or less, which is very fast btw.



So now I noticed the account expiry date is 5 Jan 2024. However, data expiry date is 4 Dec 2023. Does this mean I have to renew the plan on 4 December by clicking +Add-on? Does YES still have some basic internet function after the data plan expired, so like on 5 December I can still access YES app to renew the data plan?

I gamble this YES 5G as my main line, main reason price. Rm35 postpaid monthly is Cheap. Pro, consistent fast data for my case if under 5G coverage, 4G sometimes slow, rarely case. SMS TAC never had issues as my previous U. Call etc no problem.

Big Con, enter mall especially Ground level, no line. Had to use mall wifi for instant. IOI Putrajaya mall Ground floor also no line on my YES. Considering I paid 1/2 than previous U, i think i can still tolerate
