do you think the unifi default router is one of the reason which cost us lagging? (Wireless)

i facing heavily lagging every night when i playing dota. is like turtle running only. 1k+ ms when war and 100+ ms when moving around farming.

i am thinking is that any possibility of unifi default router is not strong enough to send information while we playing?

i can't use LAN cable to play since my room and the modem is very far.

Anyone got any solution? i tried VPN. is nice to play but looking for long term solution.

do u try ping before opening dota 2? i ping before opening dota 2 using command prompt , my ping is ok....then when i run dota 2, ping starts to shoot up

yes but i fix my problem. most possibility is your wifi issue if yours like me. just get a wifi booster

so its something like a wifi range extender?

if you using wifi to game, you need a very strong signal for stability, so you need to use wifi extender close to your pc

the default router is really not stable. I'm using some asus router and it;s so so much better. I play with an average of 15 ping everyday.

May I know how do you guys check your ping from cmd before go to dota 2?

I have a same issue with you guys currently using unifi5mbps. During evening gaming connection is not stable and in game pocket loss is so horrible affect my ping jump up to 5k ping + sometimes. Sorry i don't any experience/knowledge with connection or router sometime. Some more i'm not using cable to connect my desktop i'm using usb bypass to my desktop. And i did check my signal i got 4 bar and max is 5 it show my signal strength is excellent. Any solution to solve this matter? Headache

For me it also showing signal strength is excellent but it keep dropping at the end i buy a booster wifi to solve this issue.
