i agree i agree. now a days nokia has the most firmware problems and bugs. i think N93 bugs also havent completely work out, launch d N93i and N95. =.="

plus, GPS dun use touch screen is damn stupid, incredibly difficult to navigate

Who says we don't? Have been using it for almost a year now.
It's equally useful while navigating with it in the daytime.
You don't have to apply for the service, just buy the hardware, and also have the appropriate softwares (maps) and you're all set to use GPS to navigate your way around town!

there is a monthly charge to use the additional GPS functions.. maps are free.. location pinpointing is free.. directional guidance is currently the only feature that i know of that we must pay to use..

I've never heard of paying monthly charges for using GPS. It's FREE and the only thing you pay is for the maps, which can be quite expensive and each updates requires some funds to be paid to the developer, and also the GPS hardware.

yeap.. i know he's talking bout GPS in general but i was trying to clarify the n95 GPS premium charges and such...

1. You can download maps from the server for free
2. You have to pay for the premium voice direction command
3. Getting a GPS signal is free, which is true for any device
4. When isit going to be launched?!?!?!

Definitely helps a lot. I can't imagine living without it.

I travel a lot to new places in my job, so instead of relying on a map, I have been relying on GPS a lot these days.

Just tested on my N80 nd N93. Local maps available but some are outdated. Initial location was in UK, but when I paired my Garmin 10x GPSr with the phones; the center display suddenly moved from UK to MY... Then zoomed into my location... Sweet. But again, I live in Kajang/BBBang-I; so the SILK highway was not there; I think the map was taken from Google Maps and simplified into raster images... I am posting the screenshot after this...

Believe me, i've looked around.....zero! Im ready anytime to go down to Singapore the minute they have news on local availability, even import sets, but even import sets are nonexistant there!

One guy from Singapore had his N95 shipped from Cologne, Germany....and that's it. I've grown tired of waiting, and have traded in my N93 for N93i for a small fee. That will hold my interest until March, when N95 supposedly ships. Now all features/function on the N93i phone works, including Home Network sharing (previously it doesnt work on my old N93, even SimpleCenter failed to detect the phone). No need to transfer content to PC to show that Disneyland trip movie you captured on the phone to friends/family, no need to plug the phone into the TV using TV out, just wirelessly stream via your  home wifi network. Joy!

Or..... next weekend can scour Paris for N95, but from the looking of things, chances are slim.

i also saw kl sell 2999 ,but at garage sale got guy sell 2nd n95 at RM3000
new set sell 2999,but 2nd set sell 3000,wtf

got a call from singapore regarding some new gadgets and the n95 is there as well.. the price ranges from SGD$1300-1450.. no details on the warranty or firmware revision as official nokia outlets does not have it there or knows when they will be having it.. the official pricing is supposed to be around SGD$1000-1150..
