btw, can anyone confirm that tan chong service center is using castrol oil instead of nissan matic D for the ATF??

i read in the n16 forum that TC is using castrol as ATF, where after they change to matic D, the transmission is smooth and less jerking when changing gears....
argh, i think i gotta try... tired with the jerking -.-"

hmm, i find that my n16 very bumpy at the back when going thru bump... less comfortable than the grand livina (i was sitting inside when my fren test drove it few days back)... perhaps my absorber going bad?
and body roll was very obvious....
anyone added anti roll bar to their ride? i am not sure if stock n16 has anti roll bar ... but it doesnt felt solid when cornering...

for n16 that is distributor-less, how do we get the ignition timing tuned??

yo guys, does stock n16 comes with an anti roll bar?

em, if i am doing some tight turning, the car easily 'buang' and the weight transfer is very noticeable

furthermore with the stock 14" rim, the tyres don't seem to have much contact with the road when cornering.... so i was thinking if an anti roll bar would help in this situation...

i tried a simple but quick slalom on a open road.... hehe, the car felt like a small boat in a big sea kekekkeke

i tot of changing to wider tyres also...
195/55R15 is the best choice as i done the calculation using tyre calculator.... the difference is 0.1% only.
the speedometer only has a small difference.... but too bad that the cost of changing all four rims is too expensive

if suspension, we have to change to stiffer springs or absorber rite?

yeah... but my n16 is the first n16.... using 185/65/r14... since it is 1.6a. I guess the 1.8 version is using 15" rim.....

i just gotten my n16 service today....not via TC service center...
and most importantly, i changed my ATF to nissan matic D....

now my auto gb gear change is smooth! not like previous times where it jerks regardless upshift or downshift....
previously if upshift within <3krpm range, still ok... but >3krpm, it jerks most of the time..

now the jerking is minimal.. hehe
and it is noticed that the more power transferred from engine to the wheels... lesser lag in the auto gearbox
i am not sure what ATF is inside previously but i believed it is castrol since the n16 forumers said TC Malaysia is using castrol instead of matic D.

during servicing, when draining the atf out, the atf is reddish also...

hehehe, no money to install anti roll bar yet
cannot think of sr16ve also....

and rear is still on drum brakes .... hehehe.... if put in sr16ve .... will multiply the chances of getting accident

yesterday my taiko mech checks on the rear absorber.... shd be koyak liao... bounce two times....
aiks... so many plans but so little money.... kekekkeke

hello all, wanna ask.... n16 is distributor-less.... so to tune the ignition timing, it has to be done via ECU rite?

from what i understand, advance ignition timing will improve the low end while retarding it will improve high end....

if using e-manage to tune the ignition timing for the entire engine rev range, will the car become very nice to drive?
