Ya meh? I dont remember temp goes up to 50% for normal..i thought just like 30%?
Weird thing is after replacing the thermostat, the temp goes up much more faster than b4 changed.

And btw the RPM usually stays at 1 or below if idle but now sometimes it goes up to 1.5 during idle..
*
eh ... i tot better mah goes up faster.. that mean ur engine can quickly get into "optimum" working temperature and much lesser warm up time. so, protect your engine instead?

my b14 oso around 45-50% of the meter all the time wan..

bout the rpm, not sure.. rclxub.gif

I thought the lower the better?

If its normal to be 50% then means there's like only 25% or 30% b4 it gets to the "danger" level isnt it?
Err im not good with cars...which part is that ha? can translate to cantonese word?
*
no.. it is not count to be like tat.. engine need to be work in optimum temperature to get the best performance. the heat of engine can pre-heat your fuel and thus got better explosion in the combustion chamber.
if ur fuel is too cool, then it got lesser efficiency in combustion bcaz it too cold to be explode.

like early morning u start ur engine, stand behind your exhaust, u can smell the cold engine performance, a lot of unburned fuel is exhausted and smell terrible. if ur engine warm enough, then u wont got that smell. if im not wrong, engine work best to be around 80C to 90C.

water cooling system of engine is to ensure engine is working is optimum temperature but not to cool it all the way down.. that is what thermostat reporting that engine must work in that range of temperature.

for example, ask a person to work in 0C environment and continously cool the fella down. do u think it can still continue working? what if on aircond and ensure the temperature around 24C.. he will work more comfortably and efficient rite? if too hot, then is bad as well. Good thermostat ensure it is in more acceptable range and regulation water flow and cooling.

BTW, throttle body somehow ppl called it as butterfly.. haha.. is the thing that adjust how "high flow" of air to be goes into your engine.

Bro,
May i know what the terms "PCD" refer to ? I don't get it.

Thank You
*
PCD is term related to tyre / wheel.

there is 4 nut screw for tyre. PCD is mean by the distance between each screw of them. so 114 = 114mm while 100 = 100mm. 100mm is the distance between each opposite screw.

Boss your tachometer something wrong......
Wira 1.6 max 170km/h only. I used to drive one and can only manage that top speed.
I understand....you mean your wira can go a "distance" of 200km from sg. buloh to Taiping Utara.

Nissan Sentra 1.8 06 standard possible reaching 208km/h downhill 220km/h. Y i say 06 brcasue i got a friend bought the same in 07/08 max 180km/h
*
my wira tachnometer is 240kph.. doing 200km/h is not a problem at all... 185kph achieve before at 4k RPM.

Boss, did it ever hit you that something is not right with yourself before you write the last sentence in capital letters???
1st - When people is faster than you on a fast lane you should give way! You don't slow down to slow down the car behind you neither do you jam your brakes!!!!!!
2nd - If you don't like being followed and be force out of your lane....GIVE WAY!!!!!!!
3rd - Isn't it natural that when you don't give way people overtake you?????? Why do you have to slam on the accelerator so that people can't overtake you!!!!!!
4th - You are provoking people by chasing people (just because a small little kancil is faster than you) and force people to divider.
5th- You provoke by chasing people first and now you are going to the police and said that this car scratch yours while switching lane.

WHAT IN THE WORLD MAKE YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!
YOU LOSE YOUR TEMPER AND CHALLENGED PEOPLE BY BEING A ROAD BULLY FIRST!!
YOU FELT YOU LOSE YOUR FACE JUST BECAUSE A SMALL KANCIL WANT TO OVERTAKE YOU

YOU ARE A REAL LOSER!!!

Bro, don't mean to challenge you but if you speak to toehr driver with a wira standard 1.6....yes the tachometer reads 240, the car cannot go that high many years back in college years my group of frens, we all drove 1.6 wira none of us reach 200km/h on straights. we tried many times together while travelling outstsations together. Unless you are in a slip stream of the car infront then possible.
And @185kmh achieved before 4k rpm.....I've not seen it on any stock car 2.0cc and below. Anybody else has this experience before?

I'm not an expert but just want to know more.....
*
i agree with u somehow u say. i oso dun like ppl to block our way..

but then it is real.. 180kph around 4k rpm. oh yes, forget to mention that the wira is droved by modder last time. probably he mod something. but i not sure about wat did he did.. i open up bonnet it like same as normal 4g engine. i shall show a picture next time.

wow this is quite a record.

17.4KM/litre...
*
seriously how great is that result.

i drove a N16 recently. i think is year 2003 or 2002 version. 1.8xx, check it out later, forget dy.

i pump rm69.50 ytd at selayang shell. yeah, shell is bad i know, but company wants that. so i pumped shell in the end. i think is full dy rite?

then, i drove it back to ss2. there is 4 'petak' in fuel gauge. drove from selayang to ss2. half the first 'petak' gone. so i assume my car consumption is currently like 5-6km/l only.

reason why? i driving at 170KPa (pumped to 220KPa at nite), modified extractor, changed air filter, 205/60/16 tyres, it get bang / involved in accidents 2-3 times at least.

i drove around 120km yesterday. and half tank gone.

i unplug the battery and plug in back after 15mins, run the car idle for 10mins. i tot it will help a little. it turns out the same. and the wheel is not properly aligned at all, the steering start to shake while 110kph.

i knew the condition is terrible and not driveable. selling at rm23000, oso nobody wan to buy. i juz oso using it temporary for now. anyway that can improve the car a little bit feel more secured? quite scarry to drive it actually.

thx all sifu..

Get back to the basic car maintenance as schedule. Change everything back to ORIGINAL. Your tyres 16" is causing heavy FC. I pump nitrogen into my car tyres . Front 34 and rear 32. I forget the reading is in PSI or etc normally , u get to see in Petrol kiosk . Original for N16 1.8 is 15'' wheel .

Another option is converting engine from half cut.
*
waa, nid so heavy workout ah.. i juz driving it temporary b4 it lelong for sales again. so dun wan to touch it so much la, mayb little maintenance might improve, i hope.

err, isnt it stock is 16".. then i think i remember wrongly.. haha.. sweat.gif
shud be 205/60/15" then.. err.. it looks like using stock rim but juz wider tyres. i wonder why got such stupid modder. use wider tyre but still the same profile (60). he shud hav go for 205/55 mah.. now if i full turn the tyres, it will touch the mud guard.

32psi -> 220kpa.

i think is time for me to check up the car dy.. really in terrible situation now.. thx again for ur opinion.. rclxms.gif

If you pump from almost empty, you need slightly under RM100 to fill it up (with RON97)...
*
phew.. thats crazy.. i pumping RON95 that time @rm1.80. so rm70 is pretty full dy rite?

after run in. the fuel consumption is now much much better. i drove around 160km, used up half tank. after half tank, now drove 320km, still got 1 more bar. summore is shell ron95, pumped wrong fuel for me..

i will try to pump esso / caltex n test it another time. hope it is much better fuel consumption later on.
