QUOTE(Vanquish @ Feb 17 2009, 03:53 PM) My exhaust system upgrade consists of a performance extractor (JASMA certified but dunno what brand, it came with the half-cut), center bullet, 2" stainless steel piping, and a used Tanabe racing muffler (originally from a racing exhaust system set made for the Toyota Trueno AE86)... thanks for sharing Vanquish.. Allowing more air flow in ur exhaust system will help your engine breathe better thus performing more efficiently... When your engine is running efficiently, you save fuel... |

QUOTE(Vanquish @ Apr 7 2009, 11:24 AM) This morning, I saw at my office's neighbour halfcut shop that they just brought in a JN15 Nissan Pulsar VZ-R (with SR16VE engine) halfcut, and after checking through it, it's in very good condition... I suspect it's a year 1999 or 2000 model because the mileage is so darn low, 92,000+km only... bro u using n16? I oso found sr16 neo vvl N1(red top) here in penang..rare model..why dont go for sr20 bro?Very tempted to buy it as I'm looking for another SR16VE engine to use as "spare engine"... |

QUOTE(Vanquish @ Apr 9 2009, 09:34 AM) I'm using B14, mate... How much is the SR16VE N1 selling in Penang? its 8 k..since only 500 produced worldwide..but i dont think its worth it..Now, JPJ doesn't allow conversion of any engine capacity below 2.0 to 2.0... e.g. If your existing engine is 1.6, u can't change it to a 2.0 anymore... Change from 1.6 to 1.6 or 1.6 to 1.8 still can, but 2.0 and above, it's no longer allowed... Unless your existing engine is 2.0, only then can change to another 2.0 and above... nope bro..now JPJ is allowing to conversion up to 25%.. but u have to prepare for stage 1 first..braking..absorber etc. so means 1.6 can go till 2.0..1.6 + 0.4(25%) = 2.0 .. if u r interested..u can can research further on this.. QUOTE(Vanquish @ Apr 9 2009, 02:43 PM) Wah, 8K is too much lah, not worth it at all... yeah bro..8 k is too much..the price is becoz of the rare-ness and if tune can smoke a SR20 oso..haha..only 500 produced for this N1..worldwide..I just tested the SR16VE halfcut, everything seems to be working properly... I have paid a deposit for it... Oh, I see, now JPJ is allowing it again, eh? Personally, I'll stick with 1.6... As much as I'd love to have the torque of a 2.0, but it's OK lah, oredi converted my engine and got all the Puspakom and JPJ approvals done... Dun wanna go through all that hassle again... QUOTE(primera @ Apr 14 2009, 06:20 PM) Hi everyone, if city driving i think its normal..my sentra can only go up till 380 km only..I recently just bought a Nissan Sentra 05 SG 1.6A. I find the FC is quite high for the car. A fulltank of RM70 wont take me 400KM.. Will there be any problems with my settings of the car?? Should i go to the Nissan WS to have a check? |
