QUOTE(Argiope @ Jul 30 2016, 01:12 PM) Oops sorry paiseh didn't read your tiny screenshot properly. The clause on the site, as well as what i encountered before, refer to the whole salary for the last working month. But yours is 5% of every month it's a bit different from what was stated. Perhaps you can make reference to the MOM site and clarify with your co. i'm gonna send them the URL that you provide and ask them for clarification. |

QUOTE(shawnmy @ Jul 30 2016, 11:10 AM) That what i thought. I guess they want to make their life easier, hence just simply apply work permit instead of E pass. If they give me E pass, is it possible for me to convert from work permit to E Pass after 3 months ? WP holder is not eligible to apply for PR, although i have heard success story of married couple with 1 half holding WP get approved. The company does not need to pay levy for E Pass, whereas the levy for WP is quite high. although employer may say it does not affect your pay but in fact it does. Imagine levy charges was saved to pay you every month instead of MOM. WP is for non-skilled worker, if you meet the criteria of EP then should go for it. I can't understand why employers prefer to pay levy instead of applying EP which is free from levy. As i know the application can be either EP or EP/S Pass, even if you get a S Pass also not as bad as WP. |

As long as the primary applicant meet the all the criterias, that is good enough. Secondary applicant (spouse) doesn't even have to hold a working pass. It is been like that all along. |

hi, im a fresh graduate looking to finding an audit job in sg. Anyone know whats the std salary for fresh grad in mid tier as well as small audit firm right now? my friend used to say around $2800-3000 but thats for big 4 and they are only interested in experienced foreigners right now according to my lecturer so no hope for me.
and is it advisable to include our expected salary in our cv? the std rate for a small room is around $600 but what if i dont need air-cond? would it be cheaper and if so by how much? i alr had enough of sharing room with ppl back in my uni days cuz im very sensitive to light and sound and suffered insomnia as a result. so if possible im really like to stay in a cheap small room all to myself. thx to all the kind-hearted sifus in advance |

Not sure about audit jobs...and is it advisable to include our expected salary in our cv? the std rate for a small room is around $600 but what if i dont need air-cond? would it be cheaper and if so by how much? i alr had enough of sharing room with ppl back in my uni days cuz im very sensitive to light and sound and suffered insomnia as a result. so if possible im really like to stay in a cheap small room all to myself. thx to all the kind-hearted sifus in advance But usually audit job no life one...Always work until 3 or 4 am... I suggest to survey in Malaysia and put around the same salary for application... For rooms, it really depend on the places, 500 - 650 without aircon... Or else, you can always get a job in Malaysia for experience before considering SG... Maybe 1 or 2 years... Good luck... |

That's a rare "Female" tag here in WIS Thread.and is it advisable to include our expected salary in our cv? the std rate for a small room is around $600 but what if i dont need air-cond? would it be cheaper and if so by how much? i alr had enough of sharing room with ppl back in my uni days cuz im very sensitive to light and sound and suffered insomnia as a result. so if possible im really like to stay in a cheap small room all to myself. thx to all the kind-hearted sifus in advance It could be harder now coz SG just recently (few days back) raised the salary bracket for EP to 3.6k. Although Malaysian can get EP even with 2.5k. It could be a chance to us too since it's now more stringent to hire foreigners (excluding M'sian?). Not finance/banking/audit field. Just dropped by With and without aircond not really much difference here. Most rooms for rent here are probably with aircond. It gets quite hot sometimes in the year. Other than that... Bigger part of it is area dependent. If you can travel further daily to work, you can get probably 150-200 off similar conditioned room. 600-650 in the central area is super rare. Standard rent for single common room without attached bathroom easily 750-800 in central area (Red hill/tiong bahru/teluk blangah etc). All the way till Buona Vista/Clementi also similar price range. Don't even think about staying near Orchard/CBD QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Jul 31 2016, 11:13 AM) Shoo shoo buaya!!This post has been edited by IwanAGP: Jul 31 2016, 02:27 PM |

If anyhow also need to OT then rather OT for big firms which is more worth it. room without air cond at $500-$600 should have a lot of options, of course not near Central area |
