QUOTE(Frank3 @ Sep 9 2016, 11:59 AM) Planning to apply. Hey , did i mention/intend i will not to pay back the loan? I only ask, CAN WE PAY THE LOAN after change nationality? I just worry if Citizen application approved but cannot revoke malaysian IC only! It will affect my future life plan such as housing, building family and etc. BTW I am not that kind of person ok In addition, dont forget about your guarantor (while applying PTPTN) will need to settle this if you not paying LOAN! BTW YOU ARE NOT ANSWERING MY QUESTION , you are whining. My friend converted dy. Her PTPTN still not settle until now. So it's YES to your questions But MY government is covering the loop hole.

QUOTE(rookie93 @ Sep 13 2016, 10:35 PM) manufacturing sector eh... well... manufacturing is... if you read from the news, not doing very well in Sg right now... i remember it was either barely creeping up, or it has been contracting for quite awhile... cant quite remember.. Construction is the one growing, but it is growing slower this year as well, exports are down so that has quite a strong relation with manufacturing industry. They are said to be trying to weaken the SGD to make exports more attractive so there is still hope. By contrast, Malaysia's RM is dependent almost entirely on crude oil price movement, and during the peak of 1MDB saga, political uncertainty did cause investors to panic too resume wise, i think Marissa Meyer of Yahoo's resume, seems a unique one... if you have enough content and creativity to do something like that, i think you can score quite a few offers. hehe That Visual Resume of Yahoo CEO, plenty of websites that can help you with that. Some are free. I did one many years back It won't score well with job sites, they still prefer written resume with text which can automatically scans for your information It'll be good if you do self presentation using that during your interview, not for application imho

Don't get bog down by the no SG tel number, address or having to come physically to SG.
The world is borderless. Many times I applied jobs and the 1st phone interviews were called from UK, America, SG, Philippines, etc

QUOTE(titarium @ Sep 14 2016, 08:18 PM) I beg to differ , If I am the interviewer with different applicants I will review applicants from with SG contact number with presumption they are already in SG - who are easier to arrange an interview. Every recruiter and hiring manager main objective is to hire the RIGHT candidate for the job. If they choose to hire someone just because it's easy, cheaper and faster for the candidate to come for interview, you'll be wasting everyone's time including yourself when you discover the person you want to hire is not a good fit Good companies with proper hiring policy will not be bothered with candidates' MY tel number, address, etc. They'll go the extra miles to get the right talents for the job. Some may even have budget to fly the candidates to over to their office for the interview

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Sep 21 2016, 06:48 AM) of coz can't convert. rm60k is just s$20k, basicially <s$2k/month, that is like minimum wage for Marehsian working in Sg. I think 99.9% of Marehsians here qualify if like that. I noticed my last few applications, MY banks do convert currency Only Citibank doesn't. Others like Maybank and Public Bank do convert to MYR equivalent

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 25 2016, 11:27 AM) Oh ya... Since I have not much commitment, my savings is normally going to be positive every month. Then you get that additional 1%. Just too bad I don't have enough bills to pay (for the 3-bill thingy) and also don't spend so much on cards each month. Otherwise the interest can go much higher. You can always help to pay our bills here to help you earn your interest. You scratch my back I scratch your back

When you asked for car pool help, someone lent you the favor here Now freshies asking for help, you are shooting the person whose helping. Just give them the benefit of doubt How would you feel when someone offered a genuine help and labeled you for being a terrorist or transferring drugs

QUOTE(KilJim @ Oct 11 2016, 10:19 PM) All the rich tailous here! Different people value money differently. Some spent 20k on camera but only eat economy food, some willing to spend on 5 star hotel stay but travel using budget air. Myself I will splurge when I go on makan outing with family and friends, but when eating alone, I'm very thrifty You too will spend to your preference - so nothing abnormal there. To each his own

QUOTE(darrenboy @ Oct 17 2016, 05:52 PM) In order to buy HDB, I cannot own any property in Msia too? What kind of ridiculous rule is this? Lots of situation of this kind - example, Malaysian home is stayed by parents or relatives (bought before working in Sgp), but planning to buy HDB due to working here in Sgp. Tell me why cannot. Are we expected to stay in Malaysia and travel everyday to Sgp - if that is the reason you mentioned. If home is in JB maybe still can ..but if home is in KL or Kedah, then how to stay there and work in Sgp same time. You just open can of worms by asking that question. Well according to SG government, for FAIRNESS (which is skewed, depend on WHO you ask) HDB should be reserved for those with real housing needs who are unable to afford a private property. Full stop Even the locals are not happy with this ruling and have been questioning government for many years. I say no point you pursue this issue further as you will NEVER get a satisfactory answer

QUOTE(outpace @ Oct 22 2016, 04:56 PM) A HDB, it's a government subsidized residential unit. Not ridiculous at all, you expect a foreign government to subsidize your purchase of their public housing when you are deemed to have the capability to own a house in overseas? Catch no ball. Who is the foreign government
