Not professional jobs only can get EP? If become teacher can get EP?

EP or S Pass is decided by the salary bracket...
I think you can find it in MOM website...

not sure how long was it implemented? I heard singkie govt decided to increase CPF contribution for those 40 below and reduce for 40 above.

Is this signaling the end for foreign workers to come to singkie?

dont really have an answer for this...it really depends...
but most probably hard, why would they hire foreigner if there are so many Sg fresh to hire...they got quota of how many foreign workers...
unless that job totally has no ppl that feels like doing
*
Foreign workers QUOTA only applicable for certain industry (like Construction, Manufacturing, Marine, etc) and for Work Permit and S pass. Locals here like to term them as FT = 'Foreign Trash' (it's harsh I know).

On the other hand if you belong to another group of FT a.k.a. 'Foreign Talent' where you are qualified for EP pass. These kind of roles are subject to Fair Consideration Framework where employers have to advertise in Job Banks first for 14 days before they can hire foreigners

Having said that, there are exemptions (aka legal loop hole) from the above 2 requirements for the firms to hire foreigners easily:

1. Firms with less than 25 employees
2. Jobs that pay >$12k pm

Based on above and my own research+observation, my advise to those who want to come to SG easily:

1. Aim for small firms, startups. However being small these firms don't normally advertise their jobs due to budget limitations. NETWORK and get referrals to get in.
2. For jobs that pay >$12k, find those reputable international HR headhunters. This kind of jobs not many btw
3. For entreprenuers - setup a company with ACRA here. It cost $2xxx only if you want local partners.

I just checked with my employer. He said he will be applying for work permit for me.

But I will be earning 3.8k, shouldnt I be eligible to apply for E Pass?
Should I press him to get E Pass for me?

I don't think they literally mean work permit.
IMHO even the EP can be classified as a work permit.

Could be just difference in terminology (using mom terminology, "work pass" = work permit, s-pass or employment pass). Clarify with him lo.

Why should this affect foreigners coming to sg. They don't pay cpf anyway unless they are PRs

Just got off the phone with him. He said s pass or e pass can take long, its just too much paperwork. He prefers work permit because its very easy to approve.

No matter how, this make u get lesser salary than market rate.... As company may cut from ur salary....

He said company will pay the levy. Doesnt affect the salary he offered me.

My concern is, is not getting E pass or S pass something I need to be worried about.
