Go join the crowd catching Pokemon. It's fascinating how so many people can withstand standing under the hot sun catching Pokemon (ie. Vivocity open roof area). Tried once few weeks back. My lousy phone showed warning saying that the device temp has gotten too hot Insaneeeee

cycling (get a bicycle if you living nearby east area such as bedok )
badminton
shopping (malls, or online shopping)
once a while go jb
friday night ( soccer aka futsal)

I'm renting a room. But I've seen one or two posters around the hdb, 1.8k for 2+1 bedrooms. I think for your budget you can rent the whole unit of older hdb. My coworker stays at UE Square, not sure how much is he paying though.
