Help help help! Any sifu owning Alcoa shares here? How does the split into 2 companies work eh? I was holding 100 shares of AA yesterday, which the price was around 28+. Today, it was split into 2 companies, AA and ARNC. So seems like in my trading account, I'm now owning 100 shares of ARNC instead and 0 AA. The problem is ARNC is trading at 21+ now....means effectively I'm taking a loss from $28 to $21 ???
