CPI is kept low so bnm could maintain low bank interest rate, gdp growth is above cpi. with practical inflation rate higher than bank saving interest rate mean rm is losing purchasing power. on one hand people will hedge inflation by investing (with borrowing) in capital assets (a reason for high household debt and assets inflation) and on the other hand, cutting down on consumers spending. except those income rise above inflation, the reduction in consumer spending is corresponding with household debt repayment.

unless the gomen find a way to get out of this vicious cycle, expect consumers spending to dwindle further.

OPEC production cut will be abandoned "to punish" shale oil producer.

If oil price could remain low for extended period, world economy growth will accelerate.

o&g company defaulting effects mostly oil producing countries like the kangkong land. Recent o&g bonds default in the small red dot is a indication what to expect in the kangkong land after the next ge.

Believe banks in g7 countries have relatively small exposure to o&g industry. If u.s banks have substantial exposure to o&g industry, their stock price won't have risen so much recently.

U.s congress need to teach trump the limitations of his power and what is separation of powers.

Mamals in DC is different from the mid west, not scare of or admire loudy new Yorker.

The key to sustainable economy growth is company profit. If company profit increase mean rise in tax collection, bonus, salary, capital expenditure, disposable income, etc.

Shale oil production will continue to rise if oil price stay above $45.

Good to have correction from time to time. Continuous rise could only lead to premature bubble.
