OPEC cut doesn't make any sense. I think they just do it because they have no more idea on how to push oil price higher anymore, although they also understand that it won't work, shale producers will definitely come out and eat more market share.

OPEC's only hope is to wish world economy continues booming, an improved industrial environment to consume more oil. Other than that, nothing else could help oil price.

If oil price could remain low for extended period, world economy growth will accelerate.
*
on the other hand, since oil industry was booming in past 10 years, corporate debts can be huge as everyone had been expanding their business. So when oil companies hurt or bankrupt due to low oil price, it will hurt banks, which can hurt world economy.

However, i agree with you that supporting should be stronger than hurting overall.

global capital markets are flushed with cash... need to go somewhere.

will need a true brexit or another similar event to trigger some big selling!

actually, many stocks are still trading at low valuation. The valuation has not recovered from past crisis yet.

I think a lot of people may have given up Samsung after the "spontaneous combustion" issues.
Plenty of other Droid phones choices (or some may switch over to iPhones completely) and
never look back.
*
that is US.
i believe the "fear factor " is much lower in asia countries such as malaysia. I believe if samsung comes out a great product with reasonable price, i can still sell well. However, this s8 shows that samsung is stupid. They marked up the price because they want to sell note7 later with the same previous price i bet. The same stupidity i saw on nokia many years ago....the they keep coming, lesson never learnt. cool2.gif

firing missiles, in a bull market, becomes a bullish sign. UP.

and oil, of course, UP. "they" said oil could reach $57 in near future.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Apr 20 2017, 01:10 AM)
The Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday that U.S. commercial crude inventories decreased by 1 million barrels from one week ago, falling to 532.3 million. Total motor gasoline inventories increased by 1.5 million barrels last week and are now near the upper limit of the average range, the group added.
stocks draw too little, with rig count rising for 13 weeks.

oil bulls finally pulling back, wti back to 51.50.
but overall market still strong, no correction in sight!
