Thats true. You dont need alot of time analysing the market. But you do need to understand the bigger picture of whats happening in the market and learn the relationships between the various components.

But i suggested MGK for the majority of investors who want a good, long term risk weighted return over the next 15-20 years. If most investors just focused on buying good ETFs, the overall stock market will be much stronger. Majority of the retail traders get burnt thinking they can outperform the overall market judging by their short term gains.
The stock market is a marathon never a sprint. Its all about returns over the longer term. There will always be short term spikes and crashes but what matters is your overall return after 15/20 years.
