Yes, of course. I was expecting that to happen the very moment CPI was released.. but
the market still in la la land from Tuesday to Thursday, then Friday.. reality finally sinks in.
Yet, again the retail investors got sucked in because of FOMO. biggrin.gif

And my 3 sen question: For a 3 month scorecard, buying 3 selling 8, whatever happened to his Warren Buffett's own advice of not over trading?

A reminder to investors of the ever-changing nature of the economy over time. Only 1 company survived in the chart consistently since 1995: MSFT

You know, there's no guarantee what the future may hold even for MSFT.

If buy and hold for long time, unless someone like WarrenBuffet who's a expert in analyzing company financials and business plans, better just to buy the an index fund rather than stick with a particular company.

Over >30 years, Dow index survived, SP500 survived and does Nasdaq.

IMO, just buy the index and let it continue to do its own thing, collect dividends, meanwhile just use options
for extra cash.

Also, there's always a rare doom and gloom opportunities.. the index will dive down over 30%-50%, that's when everybody is afraid, that IS the BEST time to go in huge because it will come back over 100%-150%

The last 23~25 years, the big ones that I've seen:
1999-2000 - Dot com bust
2008-2009 - Housing Market crash
2020-2021 - Pandemic/Covid19

Looks like the cycle is around 7-10 years..

In between we also got the smaller crashes like the flash crash and Greece/Europe debt market 2010-2011, 2015 bear market.. and up until last year, we got a mini bear because the indexes were down 20% from January of last year.
