I think this will be the theme for the next 4 quarters of earning which each businesses reporting lower expectation based on their own industry earning cycles.

Nasdaq took 1.87% haircut today.. because of SNAP.
If AAPL misses next week.. damn. the whole market may take a huge dive. sweat.gif

Nowadays US market is like 3-4 days red 1-2 days green. Ppl betting on downtrend should get some advantage i.e shortist should win over ppl going long.

I am going for long since I holding mid to long term and I enter US market late May after I found Webull SG broker. To share my results so far my tech stock very volatile. Consumer stock doing well like for me LEVI is most green. MCD, SBUX, YUM, QSR, KO, PG, CL, MDLZ, BTI, DEO, HAS, DIS etc taking hit but compared to tech stock doing ok as lesser red.

I think US tech stock in bull run chiong to the sky. In bear run also chiong to the bottom. Very volatile.

I'm staying neutral until Fed gets done with interest rate hike.

Will watch for opportunity for range play the next 4-6 weeks until they break out or break down.

QQQ between 215 and 330
DIA between 300 and 335
SPY between 365 and 420

Greatest volatility will be the Qs.

Just asking, for the past few fed hikes (2022) the market fear before the FED announce the rate, but once FED finalized the number of basis point to be implemented, the market will rally up for short while. Right?

for mid-June, it rallied, then crash, then rallied again...

so my portfolio as of yesterday's close is higher than June 15th's close (when 75 basis point hike was announced)

Yes. Provided they follow the market and don't go off script and increase more than what market expect.
