Just wanted to mention for 10mbps and above you'd probably want to change your router: http://www.blacktubi.com/unifi-router/
I did it today, got a simple Asus RT-N12HP, just using the router part, WiFi is through bridged Apple Airport Express. Enjoying the smoothness and speed so far, especially if you use something like OpenDNS for DNS. Even better if you have a 802.11ac 5ghz router and device throughout your home, then you don't even need to bother with 2.4ghz, and similarly just use the Unifi box for the optical-ethernet conversion and use quality gear from that point outwards. PS. SUGGESTED TO TURN OFF ALL YOUR WIRELESS DEVICES AT NIGHT FOR A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP! PPS. TURN YOUR WIFI ROUTER POWER TO TRANSMIT LEAST AMOUNT NEEDED FOR COVERAGE!
