Just when I thought my decision to subscribe to Unifi would not be that bad after all despite the fact that I'm paying a ridiculous price for 30mbps internet and an average Hypptv service, I get hit with this pile of shit by TM. I subscribed on April and just when I thought I'll willingly pay more for the better channels on Jumbo pack instead of the shitty Varnam pack and decide to go ahead with the upgrade in June, TM drops this shitty bombshell requesting me to pay an extra of RM 342(miscellaneous fees) in this month's bill for terminating my Varnam pack subscription and upgrading it to the Jumbo pack. What kinda fuckery is this by TM? Literally daylight robbery. Is there anything I can do to dispute this? I will not bend and let TM screw me over for upgrading my pack.

My advice is to talk to your TM Point manager.

Manager because he/she has the authority to bend rules a bit to help customers. Other normal staff will just stick to the company's rules.

Good luck!

I've escalated a complain to TM but I made it clear I ain't paying shit for that termination charges when I actually upgraded to an even more expensive pack and willingly added 2 channels on top of that. Honestly, I don't give a shit about Hypptv cos I prefer the channels on Astro. I had no choice when I moved in to my new place since Unifi is the only broadband provider here. My mom likes the channels on Jumbo pack hence why I reluctantly made the change. Surprisingly, no one called to inform me that I'll have to pay termination fees for my upgrade when I did it earlier this month. No emails or SMS as well.

you need a final bill to see the charges(or you already have?)

if you been charge more than what supposed being charged, you can escalated to cfm... fast action to skmm...

The bill came in on Friday night, 2 days after my billing date and the breakdown is just like the one I saw on the Hypptv app. Told TM about the complaint I can lodge to CFM and SKMM. Probably why they immediately gave me a case number and told me they'll get back to me asap.

That might be the charges for HyppTV contract breach. But from what I understand, it will only be charged if you downgrade package, like from a more expensive package to a cheaper one. But from Varnam to Jumbo should be upgrade, not chargeable. Clarify things with them
*
That's what I was told when I first signed up and when I called to enquire about the possible upgrade. A minimal fee only applies when you downgrade to a cheaper pack. But in my case, the shitty Varnam pack is the cheapest, alongside the equally shitty Aneka pack. Any downgrade would either be from the Ruby pack or the Jumbo pack.

I have ask @tmconnects regarding changing hyyptv package (upgrade) user will be charge only RM5. what happen to our friend is totally nonsense. call tm 100 to clarifies once more if not solve, ready for mcmc report regarding this. always overcharge their customers.  vmad.gif

Exactly! I was told I would have to pay only an additional RM5 as well. Termination fees would only apply if I'm completely terminating my Unifi subscription, not when I'm willingly upgrading so I can pay them money they don't fucking deserve. Absolutely fuming over this but I'm trying to keep my cool. One thing is for sure, all hell would break loose if they don't cancel the termination charges. They can mess with idiots who don't know shit about anything but I know my rights as a consumer and the laws that apply.

Thanks for the all the help, guys. Will keep y'all updated.
