Can anyone tell me what is the difference between these two process which is restarting to router. The BTU can only be restart through the power button. But the router can go to router settings through web browser to restart or the power button? What is the difference?

QUOTE(ericpires @ Jun 19 2016, 06:50 AM) Tm speedtest is generally more reliable and accurate. Speedtest sometimes the server has issues. Test multiple kuala lumpur servers though to check. This post has been edited by SilentForever: Jun 19 2016, 08:42 AM |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 2 2016, 02:49 PM) Probably comparable in terms of performance but haven't had a chance to test the DIR-850L. The RGX4400 I use almost everyday at a local coffee shop. It works very well given the number of users that you'd expect at a busy coffee shop. Quite impressive for a free router. I posted a few tests I did with utorrent and speedtests in this thread. Search for RGX4400. Wifi is quite good. The shoplot here is 22x75, I think. Corner lot so 44x75 and the RGX4400 covers all of it and more. But of course, coffee shop layout is very open, house will be different. My 4332 is shit with the outdated wireless standard, how can i acquire a brand new rgx4400? Was planning on Asus but for now i go for a cheaper stable one.The GUI of the DIR-850L is so much nicer to look at. A graphic designer worked on it obviously. It has a few features such as Shareport and myDlink which might be useful to you. The RGX4400's GUI, on the other hand, is a just series of tables and text. It's quite comprehensive. Lots of things to configure. It has a USB3 port in addition to the USB2 port. |

QUOTE(diversity @ Jul 4 2016, 03:43 PM) I'm using 30mbps, speedtest shows about 32-35mbps. But when I try to stream twitch TV with "high" or "source" setting, it keeps hanging and buffering. Only smooth with "medium" setting. And thats exactly same with my previous streamyx 4mbps??!! Holy shit 32-35mbps. So lucky. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 5 2016, 04:41 PM) The Unifi standard router is actually very good already. Don't really see a need to buy another one. except for 4332, it is pure trash. Check out this thread for some tests I did with the "unifi standard router". https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3994248 |

Anyone call tell me why my wifi speed is slightly faster than wired connection? For example wired speed can get around 28.30down/10.40up for 30mbps. But wifi 2.4ghz next to router can get dl speed sometimes 29 and upload 10.60-90 sometimes 11 while wired speed almost same everytime if not lower.

QUOTE(FiF2 @ Jul 7 2016, 12:40 PM) Anyway guys. Need your opinion. I'm no expert but i think u should change it to ac. And always remember to update wireless drivers.I tested the 30mbps using WiFi with my desktop (wireless card) and my laptop. Test was done in my room (2 walls between my devices and router). Surprisingly my laptop getting full speed even at my room. But my desktop only 23mbps max. I moved my desktop to beside router and only it gets full speed. I just checked, my lappy supports AC while my desktop only N and G. Does that means anything? Should I change my wireless card or? |

QUOTE(ad2000 @ Jul 20 2016, 03:15 PM) I was so pissed off about it ..like you called the CS got the same answer, I banged the BTU a couple of times till it switched of itself and the fibre adapter became loose .. You are getting more than 90% of the advertised speed. It is an expected loss. It happens all around the world. I'm in the same boat too. Generally if u get at least 90% then its fine already. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 20 2016, 07:23 PM) I just replied to ad2000 about this... No, it has been months and I have not seen it more than 29Mbps... Funny thing is some people claimed they get 32-36mbps. Lucky hahaYes, I guess your story will be the same as mine, no more 30Mbps but TM refused to admit it's their problem. I went back to hometown and came back, straight dropped to 28Mbps. Probably it had maintenance too when I was not in town... |

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Jul 19 2016, 04:18 PM) my condo 6 years liao..so far still stable.. Most new condominium and apartments are full fibre now. Unless it is low cost. As for older apartments, users will be stuck with vdsl2. I hope they implement the vectoring technology though. Heard it is in testing stage.slightly high ping which is common for vdsl.. if change is ur condo management got money to change? |
