Some Valkyrie are pretty hard unless you’re in easy mode.
Best to get better equipment before heading back unless you’re confident of your skills.

in order to tackle the valkyries, you should have better gears on top of good skills and reflexes. i would suggest an upgraded armour, the best is available in nilfheim. also your axe preferably should be at level 5, u can however, get a level 6 which can only be available to you post game.

so my suggestion is, just finish the game, fully upgrade your axe to level 6, then only mop up.

I had legendary armor + level 5/6 for each weapon.
And for some valkyrie, I still wasn’t able to beat them on my first try on normal mode.

Defeating the valkyrie is like a dance. Know the beat know the rhythm. Know when they strike and u know when to strife and counter.

Valkyries are quite easy once you understand that every Valkyrie has a moveset of 5 generic moves that they share with one another and 1 unique move for each of them. Every move is quite easily telegraphed and really, the difficulty lies in the form that they do a lot of damage rather than their moves being difficult to read.

All the Valkyries are fairly easy save for the last one.

When she flies up shoot her with Atreus' arrows.

whenver red circle appear i will use atreus arrow.the things is my damage is kinda low to against her.

i watch youtube people fight her like piece of cake.

Problem is the valkyries inflict too much damage on you. It is an impossible feat to attempt a battle with a perfect health at the end. U would want to reduce the damage to a minimum in order to survive. Upgrade your gear, add runic attack that stuns your opponent. Bring your axe to level 6, that is only available post game.

Atreus' arrows do not affect valkyries, but they are good at disrupting their attacks.

Red signal = avoid. I don't think anything else can intervene.

Sorry I forgot. If all else fail, go easy mode.

Once you go up against them enough times, you’ll kinda know which attacks can be blocked and countered.
Once you get be timing right, you should be able to win.
Immersion mode kinda helps too.

But I agree the AOE flash is irritating. Dodging doesn’t help. I usually just block to reduce damage.

Resurrection stones help a lot for battles against the Valkyries.

My opinion, all ok if u have good gears. Until u face the final valkyrie. Haha. That would induce traction alopecia.

Every Valkyrie is vulnerable to an axe throw when they are up in the air. Every Valkyrie takes like 1 million frames to initiate the AOE flash, you have sooooo much time to throw an axe to stop them.
If you throw your axe for a critical hit on the head, the next hit is GUARANTEED as long as you throw it when the Valkyrie falls to the ground. Free damage.

Using Atreus arrows is an alternative if your reactions are super slow, but the damage is low in comparison.

The radius of the AOE flash is quite wide, so why even put yourself in the position to block against it in the first place? It's extremely reactable, just pay attention.

Defeated Eir on my first try.
Didn't even threw my axe once, don't need to in normal mode.
My controller was spasming out during the period, quick reactions to accurately throw the axe is tough.

Also didn't notice other valkyries using that attack as often as Eir.
Have yet to attempt to beat Sigrun
