I also experience the same thing ...
weird part is I manage to claim Gear Judgement and Gears 2 ... but not Gears 1 and 3
reason of the error got something to do with Region thinggy i guess

What happens if I don't play during the Game Trial availability period or use up all 10 hours of the Trial by June 15th?
While the Trial is only available for download between June 9th - 15th, the download will keep your 10 hour Game Trial limit until you use it up - even if that's after June 15th. If you can't play during the Trial period, make sure you download the game during it's availability period so you can play whenever suits you.

What happens if I choose to upgrade?
As the Game Trial is delivered as a full download of the game, you'll get instant access to the entire game the second you complete your purchase. You can continue right where you left off.

What happens to my Saves, Cards, Progression and so on if I decide not to purchase yet?
Other than limited access to campaign and a time limit, the Gears of War 4 Game Trial is the full game. Your Saves, Multiplayer Progressions, Cards, Achievements and more will be saved whether you decide to purchase the game now or later.

The original Gears of War was fun, but not one of my favourite games. But the odd thing is, why not release the remaining Gears of Wars 2 and 3 in the Windows Store since no. 4 is available there? For those who have not played those 2 games and jumped to no. 4, I wonder if they will find it hard to digest the story unless they go to a GoW wikia page to catch up with the storyline.

CliffyB dy left Epic Games two years ago so what is there to stop them or even Microsoft from doing so? hmm.gif

Yes, but it requires that you change the location of Apps installation folder. It's not difficult to do. Since Gears of War 4 is a Windows 10 app, you'll need to do this within the Windows settings, not from the store itself. I've done it before with no issues. Follow the steps below:

1. Press the Windows button on your keyboard, and select the gear cog on the left bottom. This will open the Settings menu. Alternatively, type 'Settings' after pressing the Windows button, then press Enter.
2. Click 'System'.
3. Click 'Storage'.
4. You should see something called 'More storage settings'. Click on 'Change where new content is saved'.
5. At the top, you should see 'New apps will save to:". Currently it should be showing drive C. Change this to whichever drive you want to use.

When you install something from the Windows store, it will now use your newly chosen drive. Hope this helps!
