Got lot of things to think of if change wheel size. First NVH for the car. Then fuel economy. Then cost of ownership for the tires. Proton also think of these things. But when u compare their design that uses small wheels to this Perodua one, Perodua is miles ahead better looking. The only thing left is cost. Is it going to start at 50K or 60K? Will they sell one that has nothing inside like base Axia that could probably make it cost RM30K-40K?

Just wanna let those that keep saying Perodua is a rebadging factory know that, you got it wrong. Just see for yourself who are the major shareholders of Perodua.

How would it be a rebadging factory when Daihatsu is basically a substantial shareholder of Perodua.

If it is not rebadged then it would be called Daihatsu.

Just have to know rebadging really means no R&D involved, no investment whatsoever but just get the license to produce under your own brand. Daihatsu developed the car and let its subsidiary, Perodua to use its technology, design, etc. Daihatsu exit the market to make way for Perodua, just a strategic move. Rebadging or not, the thing is they are basically Daihatsu or Toyota Corp developed products and they own Perodua.

Another way to look at it is just that Perodua also manufacture the Daihatsu-badged Myvi to Indonesia.
