Hey guys

About to get a myvi 1.5 and as I'm very much a budget audiophile, am thinking of changing out the HUD, speakers, and adding either an underseat woofer or a box woofer in the boot. Question is, does this void my standard 5 year warranty?

Yeah? That's what I'm thinking. But powering Amps and woofers include wiring through the battery..

Wth does inkambing mean? And that entire sentence actually.

Well, woofers and amps do need wiring. And plug and play items would hardly improve the system from the stock option

- not 100% sure but..... i would make a guess that you lose your battery warranty (not such a big deal) since you are adding extra load. if you change the headunit to a plug and play unit, also not an issue since you would not need the original headunit anymore. long as you dont splice wires its generally ok

-inkambing = incoming
-52k s poking fun at vw (you can google it, its a laugh)

-dont really need to do any (or much) splicing of the existing wiring, just adding right?

Any warranty claim on parts that uses wiring..will be voided.
But u can claim for other parts like transmission, engine, steering rack etc.

Alternatively if you bump into a sc that doesn't make claim for your warranty parts, u can always try a few more SCS. No harm.
That's if you don't stupidly go claim your audio quality rosak when u switched your original parts out..

If headunits , there are socket adapters that you can buy to make your new headunit work . So for headunit part, not really need to cut wires.

Front and rear speakers, can pull new wires and leave the original wires there. So there is no wire cutting.

You just going for a 4 chnl amp ?? Front component, and the sub just bridged the rear 2 chnl ? Don't get an underseat sub, you wont feel enough punch. Sure regret. Even if you have a pickup truck, it is always a better choice to have a slim woofer but still with an enclosure.
