it seems there's no laptop that comes with 256gb ssd with that requirements
the easiest way just buy 256gb ssd separately then replace it by yourself

Asus K401U Intel i5-6200U, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GT 940M 2GB, 1TB SATA HDD, 14" FHD, 1.65KG RM2.6k

cheapest 240gb ssd

I am very interested im getting this model too.

https://www.asus.com/my/Notebooks/K501LX/specifications/
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M with 2GB/4GB DDR3 VRAM

Just wan to ask a few questions.
For the same gtx 950m, whats the difference between 2gig vs 4 gig vram?

I see from asus msia that k401 is not on the list.. But only k501. But k401 available in retails right?

Preferred Brand - Dell, Acer, or any well known reliable brands
Budget - Around RM3k-RM4k
Usage - Mid/High-setting gaming (CSGO and latest RPG Games), programming, and maybe some photo/video editing on the side
4. Prefer
- Any screen size
- Battery life probably won't matter since I'd charge it all the time
- Weight maybe around 2kg or less, I still need to bring it around with me
- Don't matter what OS it has, even if it's DOS
- SSD if possible

Currently thinking of these brands:
Dell 7559-30414G-DOS-FHD - around RM3k+ and I can slowly upgrade it's RAM and SSD when I have the money, which is nice

Illegear Z5 - around RM4k+ which can be customized beforehand, but it seems they don't have any stock for their GC currently

Or should I wait for better releases in the upcoming months since I heard Nvidia Pascal is coming for laptops, but I'm afraid the price might be more than I'm able to afford

Thank you sifus

not really urgent or anything
but i am wondering whats the price range for laptops with those new graphic cards though
if it's not worth the price compared to what the current laptops offer then i'd probably go for either the dell or illegear

Sadly yes. They are not good for gaming. But they are better for everything else.

But since laptop makers put shit display panel,a slow-ass hdd and a bullshit thermal control on EVERY amd laptops on earth. It's better to just buy the intel nvidia combo for now.

For example an amd version of hp spectre priced at rm 1000 bucks cheaper. Or an amd version of msi gs63. It will not perform as fast but could be equiped with better display at a much cheaper pricetag than the intel nvidia combo. Maybe around rm 500 bucks cheaper? For people who don't game too much but want all the bells and whistle. They would have sold like hotcakes.

They just don't exist for some reason😡

Frankly speaking.. nvidia never promise greater performance on low n mid end card... All his advertisement r base on gtx 1080.. 3x better performance than gtx 980ti...

Hvnt get any feedback on the gtx 1070 yet.. very fast moving stock...but the r480x really shocking performance...but again need wait custom cooling fan.. the stock cooling fan suck..
