not good... 64bit Windows on 2GB RAM... you will easily lag the hell out when Windows Update is running, moreover its Windows 10 we are talking about
Webcam... sweat.gif

other specs should be ok as long as you don't do gaming, the gpu is very outdated and underpowered...

I think you better up your budget is a more viable option...

I'm kinda in dilemma right now. Looking some sifu-sifu advises and my criterias as below:

1. Main purpose: Office usage (no gaming at all)
2. Preferred Brand - HP only(because company is a HP house)
3. Budget - RM3K
4. Usage - Outlook(10GB email), Chrome(max 10 tabs), Words and Paint. These programs will be running concurrently.
5. Preferred: 13-14 inches + lightweight

Basically, I have shortlisted to two HP models but not sure if there is any better options:

1) HP Envy 13-D066TU
i3-6100U, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD and 13.3 FHD IPS display

2) HP ProBook 440 G3
i5-6200U, 4GB RAM(able to upgrade), 500GB SATA and 14' HD display

The main different above is the i3/i5 and SATA/SSD. I'm not sure to choose SSD > CPU or CPU > SSD. My personal opinion is that SSD would be better option however the CPU only i3 would could be a huge bottleneck too. Based on my usage, what's the recommended model?

Thank you sekalian!

Hi Sifus,

Need your final input to make my decision on my options below. Have read thru the recommendations here and the following models meets my requirements.

Acer Aspire E5-575G
Acer F5-573G-52QJ

question :
1. i am not a hardcore gamer but i do play Online MMORPG for long periods of time (3-4+ hours), is there any heat problems with the 2 models on prolonged gaming?
2. how big of difference will it make with SSD and without SSD on gaming.

every laptop that you use to play game on it has heat problems if use it for long session gaming
just use the laptop cooler to overcome heat problem.
the only difference with ssd and without ssd on gaming is the loading time where it's little bit faster to load game with ssd, other than that pretty much same with hdd.
