Good day to all the SIFUs here.

I am currently looking at my Macbook Pro 13" replacement.  Been using it for 2 years for work and Dota 2 but really don't like it.  Now thinking of switching back to Windows.

My basic requirement:

1) For work + gaming (only Dota 2) + Minor Photoshop/Illustrator/Video Editing
2) Preferably SSD 256GB
3) 8GB RAM
4) NVIDIA GPU
5) Screen Size 13" and above
6) Battery life MUST BE on par with my MacBook Pro, 4-5 hours WIFI at least.
7) NO Optical drive
8) Decent build quality, doesn't have to be like MacBook but at least not that plastic feel.
9) Less than 2KG

My budget is RM4000 - RM4500.

Need your humble recommendation.

Thanks.

this one come with nvidia gpu but doesn't come with 256gb ssd so you have to buy the ssd separately and swap the hdd to ssd
Dell Vostro 14 V5459 Intel i7-6500U, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GT 930M 4GB, 1TB SATA HDD, 14" HD, 1.53KG RM3.4k

and since your game will play is dota 2 only, this laptop can handle dota 2 very well despite using intel hd but it meets with your others requirement
Acer Aspire S 13 Intel i7-6500U, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 256GB SSD, 13.3" FHD IPS, 1.2KG RM4k

Sifus, kindly recommend brand, model and location to buy in penang or kedah

1. Preferred Brand - Reliable Brand and Model (less issues)
2. Budget - below RM2000
3. Usage - Mostly movies, music, surfing + for student usage, microsoft office etc
4. Preferred
a) 13-15 inches
c) Good Battery Life

Hi sifus,
Im looking to buy a new laptop..I'm kinda not so good at technical aspects, not yet anyway, so any recommendation is much appreciated.

1. I want a notebook that has zippy performance, especially when multitasking,so I guess 1 with 8GB to 16GB RAM and SSD should be what I'm looking for.

2. I don't really game alot, just I need to run code editors and similar software alot,i'm learning how to do software programming.

3. My budget is arnd RM4k...cheaper better but pay peanuts and get monkeys rite =P

4. A big screen and at least 1920x1080 resolution wud be nice, but I can always extend the display to an external monitor.

5. Prefer it to be easily customizable,, parts easy to swap and upgrade. So I can keep it running for at least 5 years.

6. Battery life and weight are not so important as performance, since I plan to use it as a desktop with the very occassional moving about.

TIA

How bout the new Zenbook ux360ca.. is it better comparing to UX305CA? Seems like instead of 3x 3.0 usb port.. ux360ca has 1x usb c port + 2x 3.0 usb port.. the rest of the specs seems the same?

I like the way u put the budget.. wif current shitty RM value... Really can't get superb spec below 4k

Msi gl62 gtx 960m now promo.. rm3850.. but quality not top range la...

Dell inspiron 7559 if u ok wif dfo u can get uhd around 4k..

Latitude 7470 dfo i7 around 4k plus..

Asus k501 i7 lightest among all but bad side is shitty aftersales..

Xps 13 dfo fhd around 4k oso

PS : dfo means Dell factory outlet.. those online cancellation order, demo unit from launching, leasing contract finish units.. all wif Dell warranty and on-site service.. not like some freak who categories it as full refurbished...

Tat guy dun even understand the term full refurbished means.. do u consider urself buying refurbished stuff when u go brands outlet or f.o.s?

ge62 vr RM6899 n ge72 vr RM7199 (limited stock, n got ppl bring in stock from thailand n sell de)
