This 2 phones look great! But damn the Verizon exclusives till September. And it seems that the z force will remain exclusive to Verizon even after September :/ they should just launch it globally now instead of announcing and then make everyone wait so damn long. By September there'll be the note line etc released too.
Been itching for a new phone recently and this one looks damn nice but that long wait.

Again a phone projector, lets see if its not a gimmick again.. well, project as u wish something to the wall, but if the resolution so low and the display produced is dim and blurry, what for? It is innovative, yes, but i hope moto is not making just gimmick but a functional one

Exactly my thought. Make use the thickness of the camera bulge. At 1-1.5 mm (not sure how thick it is), they can still fit in a 800 mAh battery on the shells. I mean, how thick can a 800 mAh be

But before all, they should've made the internal battery at least 3k mAh. Even with 3k mAh, I imagine the thickness will still be slimmer than any other flagships, at 6 mm. Sigh Motorola, why you do this

It'll project out contents according to the sources. If you're playing a YouTube video and it can play 4k (max resolution for now), the projector will also project out 4k

Can't just they make a design that looks like Moto X Gen 1 or 2 that with Fingerprint scanner on the back M logo dimple. Dual front facing speaker.

Fingerprint scanner has to be at the front or else the mods wouldn't be possible.

Lenovo, I see what you did there with the Style Mod back covers ...

That is because without the covers, the Camera hump is very obvious and can be easily damaged. And a new owner HAS to get one Style Mod Cover so that the camera hump is flushed.

Phone wise, the Z Force is the more preferred choice (to me) cause of the beefed up battery & Shatter Shield Display. And why....no 3.5mm headphone jacks? 😱😱😱

I'm going to hold on to my MXStyle 2015 for the time being.. 😃😃😃

For sure there will be a backplate with 1Ah battery to keep the phone light while bumping the battery capacity to 3.6Ah. Those on demo provide 2.2Ah which increase the capacity to 4.8Ah which is considered amazing already.

Logically speaking, that's not possible with mods, unless they include fingerprint sensor in every mod, which is inefficient and costly.

then again, they could just do the sensor like they did with the camera. just make the camera bulge bigger and include the fingerprint sensor around that area...

Sad, they put the Moto wording in front. Previous Moto Phones don't have any logo/wording in front panel, only back panel with the Motorola logo.

I'm pretty sure parallel importers will bring the device in, besides waiting for Lenovo to bring it into M'sia (yeah right!) when even the MXStyle 2015 hasn't even come in yet.

We might as well wait for a Mars colony to be established then the devices will come in (okay not that long but just exaggeration).

i'm one of those... not really turned off but honestly, not sure how i'd be able to cope with it...

my usage scenario:
at end of day, i usually relax by watching movie or playing games and will be using earphones (else noise will disturb others). it's end of day and i will probably need to charge my phone as well. so... how?

i guess i may need to use my wireless headset, but i do prefer using my wired ones... so much easier and smaller compared to my Jabra Evolve headset.

most probably thats where the battery pack mods comes in. still, usb c port has not been tested either as sturdy as the good old earphone jack. ending up with a broken charging port would be the worst thing that could happen.

that's one reason why i'm not very keen to see devices with USB Type-C. i feel there are still too many issues that needs to be ironed out with this new standard. and there's also the concern about "certified cables"... coz otherwise, cable might end up destroying the device.

Well, doesn't matter much to me, I have been using Bluetooth headsets for some time now. Bluedio headsets are quite good and very affordable.

If you think about it, why go through all those trouble just to put fingerprint sensor behind? I think much better place would be at the power button, similar to the Z5, but front is good too, just doesn't feel that natural.

If they put it near the camera, there might be small issues like fingerpring smudge at the camera, and especially using flashlight, its not good to have your finger nearby the camera as your finger will caused the reflection and stuff. Although its just my opinion and I totally understand and respect your points of views

The front fingerprint sensor is OK but the design looks weird. Squarish thing in the middle. If on the white colour front even more confusing as its flanked by two dots (proximity sensors). The white front looks too cluttered imo. Agree with that they could've incorporated the fingerprint scanner onto the power button at the side. Would look cleaner

Hmm not really la I think. If people opt to go for cases instead, the bulge will be flushed too

But then again, case makers will have a big headache in making cases, as they have to consider the phone with & without the shells

I think they want the mods to be the case d. Though probably spigen etc will make cases that fit with the stylemod. The other mods like the speaker etc quite unlikely to have case too. Hopefully the z force sees a global release.

As this year's duo of Moto flagships has finally made it to the pre-order stage under the Verizon-exclusive Droid moniker. That's right, for the first few months of the phones' existence, you won't be able to get your hands on that super-thin Moto Z unless you tie the knot with Big Red. But hey, at least we can get some good idea on the phones' prices!

Both the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid can be found on Verizon's website and Motorola's own Moto Maker. They are priced at $624 and $720 respectively, however, if you want to upgrade their storage from the normal 32 GB to 64 GB, you will only be able to do so on Motorola's website (for now) and have to shell out an extra $50 on each model. With Verizon, you can grab the Moto Z Droid for 24 monthly payments of $26, while the Moto Z Force Droid will set you back $30 each month. Shipping on pre-ordered handsets will begin on the 28th of July.

Both handsets are available in two color variants — “Black & Lunar Grey” and “White & Fine Gold”. A third version “Black & Rose Gold” is marked as “coming soon”, but we can't be sure when that is.

The Moto Mods are also present on both Verizon's and Motorola's websites. Verizon has an offer where you get a 40% discount on every second Mod you buy.
