Is it still worthwhile to upgrade to a note 4 from a note 2? Cause my parent sometimes ask me why the phone lags badly or auto shutdown hmm.gif
*
from Note 2?

of course... Note 2 to Note 3 already quite a good jump, IMO. so Note 2 to Note 4 is more noticeable.

In the one hand, yeah it can't come soon enough, with all this n7 issues. In the other hand, I don't want soothe rushed product.

the old Nokia micro USB cable is still the best.
*
Have to agree. I'm still using my old 15 cm cable from my xm5800 and an old 1.2m cable from n8 (length may not be accurate, I'm just guessing here)
So that's like what, 6 yrs now eh?

Edit
Need to add.. . xm5800 did not charge from the micro usb, but there was a 15 cm cable provided to transfer data from pc, which I still use to powerbank-charge my android phones until now

my battery dropped till 17%, hence i charge it!
the moment I plugged in to charge it keep dropping very fast, not even 1minute, it totally went 0% that my phone turn off itself!

may i know what happen with my battery? is it the battery drained that i need to buy a new one! honestly say im a heavy user on phone due to work related, in a day may need to charge up to 2-3 times!
*
how old is the battery?
it's quite normal that note 4 battery need replacing by this time. mine was replaced quite a while ago this year. iirc it was 1.5 yr old when i replaced it.

It should be my next phone..now stuck wif my note 3..to go for note 4 not worth it..argghhhhhh...note 8..i summon u come out next month!!! Pleasee!!!
*
I feel you bear... I was also gunning for Note 7 (upgrade from current Note 4) - but due in January... who would've thought that n7 would go up in flames (literally and metaphorically speaking).
now i'm lost, don't know which phone to go for. was (still am, i guess) thinking to buy a mid ranger - like Asus ZF3 - and keep the balance for when note 8 finally comes...

Just as a feedback for N4 users, recently I replaced my ori N4 battery with another OEM Samsung N4 battery (cost RM75) and MPJ Brand Battery (cost RM65), both of which were purchased at the same time. Both have NFC on the battery. I have been testing them for 2 weeks now.

It seems that the MPJ battery from US lasts longer than the OEM Samsung battery. I bought the OEM Samsung battery from Lazada and the MPJ battery from 11th Street. However, the MPJ battery took a long time (3 weeks) to arrive from US.
*
can you confirm if both have the same mAh rating?

Yup, I also upgraded to S7edge last month. Water resistance capability is a must for my daily use. Much safer.
*
well, what a coincidence

I just bought S7e last week. got a display unit, so got it for quite cheap... cheaper than some people selling 2nd hand here...

though my note 4 is still going strong, i am worried that the charging circuit will give in soon... i've had to replace 3 batteries already, in quite quick succession too, even though i used only original samsung batteries and original note 4 charger

my original charger cable got frayed and cannot use it to charge .. I bought a xiaomi cable to replace it but now cannot use fast charge ... even though i enable in settings,, its greyed out..
*
I still have my note 4 usb cable. but as a backup, I have a dual-connection quick-charge 2.0 charger by Aukey. The cables that came with it can fast-charge my note 4.

Where to buy brand new Note 4? I didnt mean refurbished set
*
Been out of production for so long already now. It's practically impossible to get a brand spanking new set. The best you can get is refurbished ones.

But I would love to be proven wrong.

that stylus need to be recharged, though... and no onboard silo to store the pen, too... much inconvenience to carry the pen separately, like with Surface tablets and my current XPS 12 9250 (and probably other similar 2-in-1s).... Samsung really have the best solution when it comes to pen/stylus, IMO.

tho my note 4 still running fine...im planning to retire it soon...

still good for backup phone tho..

note 4 is still one of the finest samsung phone..
*
truely, one of Samsung's bestest ever phone...
mine still going strong, though now used by waifu... only recurring issue is the battery. i suspect the charging mechanism is a bit awry nowadays. so probably this is its Achilles heel for which its days has been numbered.

hi all,

its been awhile since i write in here. just got my note 4 repaired. changed the motherboard & the shop only charged me rm280. price not bad.. hehehe.

still love note 4. tempted to upgrade, but still didnt find any new phones that have stylus & removable battery.

using 2 note 4 now..

How's the battery nowadays? Mine is getting more and more hungry... I mean, the phone kind of eats through the battery. 1 battery doesn't last me a year before having to replace. I noticed also that it gets hotter than before when charging (even with original charger).
