Heard about alpha driver? What does it mean? Got level?

Newbie here, i just registered for Grabcar.

I have 1 question, i know how Grabcar charge the fee is different from Uber.
Uber will auto deduct 20/25% from total fare & net will be paid to driver.

How about Grabcar? I heard it need some kind of top up?
Can someone enlighten me?

Hi error404,

There is a column called "credit balance" & "cash balance"

#Credit balance is for us to top up via epay.
For example u top up RM100. U can drive up to RM500 cash fare. Because RM500 x 20% is RM100. Bear in mind when ur credit balance is low. U couldn't accept long trip whereby exceeded ur credit balance.

#Cash balance is for credit card rider we named it "grabpay" as well
all the credit card rider drop off the fare will directly credit into the "cash balance" wallet. U can either withdraw it into ur bank account or use that for top up on "credit balance"

regarding the weekly incentive. all the eligible incentive oso crediting into ur "credit balance" on Wednesday evening. It might show thousand ringgit in the "credit balance" but in the next or 2 day Grab will left only RM150 at ur "credit balance" the rest of amount will bank into ur registered bank account.

Meaning CC payment will credit to my credit balance which I can cash out or maintain inside my balance.
But If I'm new, I dont have any credit balance, in order to start, I must top up first?

Are u alrdy registered? or planned to register?
U are from uber previously. Just to proof u are uber active driver. Grab will give RM75 or more for ur start up (this one have to clarify more accurate amount)

If not Grab still give u RM20 as an encouragement to earn RM100 fare for free!
Kindly aware the weekly incentive table that sent out from Grab. That is ur important tool to hit the incentive.

As I know some "alpha" can have ping to/return klia about 6 to 7 trips a day.

how you define uber active driver? Still driving for Uber? Last Uber drive 1 week? 2 week?

Last time i just tell them i'm Uber driver. No need to give proof. Still get the rm75.

Thanks a lot guys. Just got off the phone with grab support, she informed me that for peak hours, (where they say 50% has to be from busy areas), if I want two trips incentive, both trips within an hour block MUST be from busy areas. I assumed that it's from anywhere so long as I maintain 50% in busy area, turns out I'm wrong?

I do not sure both trip MUST be from busy area. I didn't rectify for this issue yet. Usually I didn't calculate the exact amount of incentive given.

K checked with another grab support guy. So basically, to qualify for the incentives u must have 50% for the busy areas, but you'll only be paid according to how many trips u did in the busy area. So basically both trips have to be csa la.

BTW I didn't receive any text about busy area percentage or anything.. Maybe cause I'm new? Only 2 weeks doing
