Hey guys, im looking to get a .com.my. At this moment I am considering yeahhost, they require organization name and registration number. Is that the case?
Any other relieable place to recommend? I just need a domain registration.

exabytes to slow for me,any hoster can...im using godaddy since i need better control over my own domain,business wise better get country domain since you register it under a company

but i cant find com.my in godaddy. Seems like there are no such extensions.

godaddy won't have it...
it's governed by MYNIC..
no matter which reseller you go to.. you still need to provide biz reg for .com.my or .net.my
for .MY you need to provide IC.

price diff.. .com.my/.net.my RM80+ gst .my RM120+gst

.com.my (MYNIC) domains only can be purchased from local reseller. of course godaddy dont have .com.my domains

also, .com.my domain registration requires you to have SSM Form or Borang 9. its mandatory.

.my in the other hand only requires IC to register, but normally pricier than .com.my

If domain name, at the moment I recommend Exabytes if you are planning to commit long term. You can get a .com.my domain for 5 years by just paying price of 2 years.

Otherwise, I advise you to get an .com / .net type of domain unless you really have a good reason to get .com.my

how to register .com.my without a company ?

It is compulsory to register a .com.my domain name under a registered company in Malaysia.
If you do not have a registered company in Malaysia, you can register using your friend's company name (if any)
However, the company name used to register for this domain name (or Mynic call them as the REGISTRANT) is the official owner for this domain name

If you do not have a registered company, you may consider register for .my domain name which need only Malaysian IC.

I wouldn't go with a dot my or dot com dot my (.com.my), due to limitations on the Malaysian ccTLD

Perhaps go for .com, .co or even .io? Unless of course, you're planning to only have majority Malaysian traffic
