I am going to play OC with LGA775 processors, instead of using water to cool the hot side of the peltier I am going to sandwich the peltier between the HSF and the processor.
The HSF that i am going to use is :
- Thermaltake big typhoon (which is very good since it has long screw and a hold down plate, so i can sandwich the peltier in between)
- Thermaltake blue orb
- CM N520 (i don't think the screw is long enuf, but maybe will buy some longer screw and nuts for it)
But how about motherboard protection from liquid condensation? I not quite sure how peltier works, is it the more temperature u can reduce on the hot side then on the cold side the more colder is it gonna get?
If just by using air cooler to cool the hot side, is the temperature going to be low enuf to create condensation? I am not going to use any stuff that are oily and sticky like vaseline for condensation protection as i gonna reuse the board and don't want to messup with oily gunk. I saw people use some sorts of a clay like material for condensation protection, what is the thing called and where can i get it ? Other than that like under the board and edges of the peltier where it didn't touch the processor, i am going to use air conditioner protection tube (black color those).
Replies are appreciated, TQ
